NATIVITY LADIES SODALITY VALENTINE’S PARTY—will be on Monday, February 8th at the CFL Hall. The meal will be served at 7pm with the doors

opening at 6:45pm.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS—Nativity will have Stations of the Cross on Sundays: February 21st, March

6th and March 20th at 1pm.

NATIVITY PARISH— is looking for someone in the cluster, or maybe a group of people, that might have some spare/scrap lumber/materials and some spare time to build a stable for a lighted nativity set that was donated to the parish. It really needs the stable to be displayed properly. We are looking for a design that will fold down for easy storage and one has been suggested. This would not be needed until next Christmas time. If anyone has lumber or time and wants to be part of this project, please contact Trudy Moeller at 419-305-6454.

The 2016 Officers are Jeanna Heitkamp - President; Amy Grieshop - Vice President; Ann Schulze - Secretary; and Karen Broering - Treasurer. We look forward to the 2016

year and serving the parish!

LITURGICAL MINISTER NO-SHOWS—Lately the incidence of liturgical ministers not showing up to assist at their scheduled times has reached habitual epidemic proportions, especially at the 5pm Saturday evening mass at St. John Church. Besides being something that should not be regularly occurring in the first place, it makes it difficult to find a substitute priest for that mass when necessary. During Fr. Gene's absence, one of the reasons that I have decided to celebrate both Saturday evening masses, is precisely because of the habitual no-show situation. It is not fair to a visiting priest to celebrate a mass when he arrives to find a major number of liturgical ministers not present to perform their duties. Recently at the 5pm Mass, for instance, there was no commentator, first reader, or three servers. Most of the Eucharistic Ministers were "fill-ins." I do not recall the last 5pm mass, before which I have not had to ask for additional ministers. Please check your schedules, and please do not assume that someone from the congregation will come up to fill in for you. Your cooperation is this

matter will be greatly appreciated. Fr. Tom

More about Chris Stefanick

Chris Stefanick Bio

Chris Stefanick has is an internationally acclaimed author and speaker, who has devoted his life to inspiring people to live a bold, contagious faith. Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, OFM Cap calls Chris, “one of the most engaging young defenders of the Christian faith on the scene today.” Chris’s live seminars reach more than 85,000 people per year. His videos and radio spots reach more than 1,000,000 people per month, every month. And his educational initiatives are turning-the-tide in the Church. He authored what is being welcomed as the best Confirmation program in the English language: Chosen. Already used by almost 100,000 teens per week, entire parishes are being transformed. As one Latino parish in Florida recently stated: “After starting Chosen, we have moved from losing 90% of our kids after Confirmation, to keeping 90%!” Unprecedented. Chris is also the founder of Real Life Catholic, a Denver-based non-profit which operates as the headquarters for Chris’s various initiatives. Above all, Chris is proud to be the husband to his wife Natalie and father to their six children. To learn more about Chris’s work, please visit: www.RealLifeCatholic.com
