•  Overview of the calorimeter readout electronics: each disk (~ 680 crystals per disk) is subdivided into 34 groups of 20 crystals.

• 

q  Groups of 20 left (right) Amp-HV chips, controlled by a dedicated mezzanine board (MB) that distributes the LV and the HV reference value, while setting and reading back the locally regulated voltage

q  Groups of 20 amplified signals are sent to a digitizer module (WD) where they are sampled and processed before being optically transferred to the DAQ system.

Conclusions

•  The front-end system amplifies the SiPM signals and provides HV setting and regulation, in a Voltage range below 200 Volt.

•  The cables and the connectors,between Amp-HV and MB boards have been defined (differential output). Cables should have lengths smaller than two meters in agreement with the cabling layout.

•  For the preamp-regulator chip ! the project is complete. Minor adjustment for connectors. New production of 20 pieces now.

•  FEE pre-production and test done for Module-0. Project for the MB board in final layout in progress now. Expected for November.

•  External HV/LV power supplies are being discussed with CAEN, following recommendation from Integration group.
