- Engaging the Power of Faith in Pursuit of Vision A Chapel Service Message by Dr. David Oyedepo on September 18, 2013
Vision is the key that unlocks your destiny. Anyone who fails to discover the
vision for living is in trouble.
What is Vision?
Vision is God’s plan for your life. A sense of Destiny will be a sense of self-worth.
1 Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a
peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you
out of darkness into his marvellous light.” Proverb 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his
heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”
Inside a man who has discovered his vision is greatness.
The role faith has to play in the pursuit of vision include:
Every Vision delivers on Faith. Mark 9:23, “Jesus said unto him, If thou
canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”.
Everything you believe God for becomes a reality (Mark 9:23). Everything
is possible to him who believes. Habakkuk 2:2-4, “Then the LORD
answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets that the
one who reads it may run. “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it
hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for
it will certainly come, it will not delay. “Behold, as for the proud one, his
soul is not right within him; but the righteous will live by his faith.”
Faith comes by insight in the word of God. It is the level of our spiritual
understanding that will determine our faith and our level of faith will determine our
level of result.
Spiritual understanding comes through the Holy Spirit.
Ways to discover Vision include:
Through anointed books. Daniel 9:2, “In the first year of his reign I Daniel
understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD
came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the
desolations of Jerusalem.”
Through ministry of anointed prophets.
Through prayer of enquiry. Jeremiah 33:3, “Call unto me, and I will answer
thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
