A day of sharing

Food is the basic necessity of everyone.

I love children. That is why I really enjoyed the few hours of having feeding programespecially dedicated to the children Bagong Lote Elementary School. I realized how anexperience could be extraordinary by simply being with the less fortunate and making themhappy even for a while. I became inspired to persevere more in life so that I can be a big helpfor the less fortunate.

It’s not my first time joining a Feeding Program. In my days in high school, I alwaysfacilitating a Feeding Program held in our barangay. Less Fortunate Children is really close to myheart because I myself experience becoming like them, eating once eating non nutritious foodsand not having my “baon”. There is a chance that I need to transfer school so I can continue mystudies .

We are lucky because we can eat more than three times a day, we can study in a gooduniversity, we have more“baon” and enough, we can eat what we want, we are wearing agood uniform and we can have what we want. I am lucky because all of these, I can have and Iexperience and I can have, but these children at the Bagong Lote cannot have it because thereare not financially capable.So Don’t waste your foods or either your money to anything buthelp others.

I am Very lucky because I can do what ever I want to do. I can eat what ever I want toeat. Even you, you’re lucky. So wemust take care these blessing and share to others. Sharing toothers is the most special things I can do or we can do and feeling of we or I become theinstrument of God to help others people are great. I can feel great and special feelings thateven in a simple means I can helpthese Children. I’m not considered them as hopeless orhelpless because I consider them as brothers and sister even I don’t know them.

So Friends take care the things you have and shared this because this thing is notforever yours. There is a chance that this thing you will loss. This children at the at Bagong LoteElementary School, they not there fault that they born in less fortunate family because I knowthis children has his/her purpose here in earth. If there is a chance or opportunity to be a part again of that activity either by the LMC oreither others I am willing to volunteer my time to them because I know this is another way of giving back what I receive and helping is my passion. I know there is a time specially I am avolunteer at LMC. I know I can meet this children and I am willing to render my free time tothem not only in feeding program but I am willing to share my knowledge with them, I amwilling to be a volunteer teacher to them and be the Ate of them like the way I do in our Parishand Barangay. Being able to share God's blessings with the little children truly shows theessence of being a Marian, Lasallians (Lasalyanetan) and a Franciscan Youth servant

No matter how simple the ways and how small the amount, it is the willingness and joyfulness to share that counts. Through this simple activity, we were able to send the messageto the children and to their parents that if they strive harder in life, there will be more peoplewho will be willing to help them. if they insert more effort in there studies they will be pull outto that fortunate life
