    This educational seminar will be of benefit to residents, fellows, and physicians in the fields of dermatology, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, and otolaryngology.

    Educational Objectives:1. Summarize and discuss appropriate methods to treat skin cancer in organ transplant patients as well as when appropriate referral to specialty services are warranted.2. Identify the salient new elements of ear reconstruction techniques as they impact the ability of dermatologists to preserve structure and function3. Describe the mitigating threats to patient safety in the perioperative period.4. Summarize and discuss proactive risk reduction techniques as they relate to the perioperative period.5. Describe, compare and contrast the methods used to treat in transit melanoma to appropriately counsel patients regarding the evidenced based treatment options available to guide therapy.6. Discuss and summarize the approaches to manage the patient experience with regards to dermatologic surgery.
