The Timberjack 608S Feller Buncher isa stronger, more powerful addition to the608 family. With a 205 hp (153 kW)Cummins 6CT8.3 engine as standard,and dedicated hydraulic pumps for thecarrier, attachment and saw bladefunctions, the 608S has the power forhigh levels of sustained productivity inall conditions. A 230 hp (171 kW)Cummins 6CTA8.3 engine is optional.The 608S has 53,550 lbf. (238 kN) oftractive effort, over 11% more than itsclosest competitor. The increase intractive effort provides enhancedmobility and performance in deep snow,swamps and tough conditions. A new longer main boom increases thereach to 25-ft 8-in (7.8 m), enough towork effectively in most 5th rowthinning applications, selective cuts orregeneration harvesting. The 608S uses the welded carbody, D6Dsize track and tractor type rollers from

the larger Timberjack 850 feller buncherfor long term durability. Using largercomponent sizes well below theirdesigned weight limits results in longercomponent life and increases machinestability.A hydraulically operated enclosureprovides best-in-class service access.The enclosure doubles as a sturdy workplatform. All routine service points suchas the engine oil dipstick and fill point,fuel, coolant and engine oil filters areall readily accessible from the openingside. Timberjack FS22 Felling Head (Standard)

The reliable Timberjack FS22 has a 22” (56 cm) cuttingcapacity. The front discharge system allows for a narrowoverall head width. Along with the wide 49” throatopening, the head can easily be maneuvered in densestands while acquiring multiple trees. A box style designhas been used for the horn and boom adapter to giveadded strength. The dual wrist cylinders provide a highand constant torque to the wrist. To reduce partsstocking, all four (2 wrist and 2 arm) cylinders arecommon. For added strength, a single pin through theupper and lower arms on each side distributes forces andstrengthens the entire structure.

The FS22 comes installed on the standard boom set. Thisconfiguration is intended for medium to large treeswhere high wrist rotation is not required.

Patented Offset Blade Design and One Piece Rotatable Teeth

The FG18 and FG22 both feature Timberjack* fieldproven disc saw blade and saw teeth. The patentedoffset saw blade means less binding as the tree is cut andmoves onto the butt plate. The Timberjack disc sawblade features integral tooth holders eliminating theproblems of bolt-on holder designs. Couple this with onepiece, long shank, rotatable teeth and you can see whythis is the most reliable tooth system in the industry.
