FEMALE GROUP DYNAMICS
ABSRACT: A common acronym that entire world says that understanding a woman is the toughest
and hardest thing ever for any kind of person. Sometimes it may be difficult to understand a girl
for another girl too. Not exactly any female views or ideas can’t be idealized or judged all at once
based on the first impression. Anyone could find interesting to join with a female or at least to
work with a female and obviously there are many things to discuss and to particularly mention
about the female in a group. There will be definitely some differences observed between the male
groups and female groups and this is an overview on the whole by considering that women are
present in the group and how the consequences and situations will be because of the women.
INTRODUCTION: Every female can’t be same, probably will not be same at least. Every group
of female friends is different if a group of girls are taken into consideration. There may be different
personalities which are distinct and each of the personality have different or sometimes multiple
roles to play. And the dynamics with the presence of a women in any group will be differed to
each and every individual that are present in the group.

In India, across companies and sectors, the gender ratio is undeniably skewed towards male
employees. However, India Inc has been stepping up efforts to bridge the gap by implementing
progressive policies and creating innovative solutions to hire, retain and encourage women talent.
Indian corporate world now a days was drastically changed as they are preferring women rather
than men in the works. There may be many reasons which may vary from person to person and
organization to organization, but the common target is to provide the employment for the women
and treat them same as the men. And moreover, corporate world believes that the more the women
in the groups, that much efficient and effective that work will be.

But the companies doesn’t want to discriminate people by genders, places or races. So they are
highly encouraging the integrity among men and women so that there may be high chances for
women collaborating with their opposite genders in the work places for the best outcome.
Where there will be female groups, there exists the Hi-Fi environment irrespective of the places.
Because most of the women do prefer to make the things easy and complete the work as soon as
possible.

Here is a list of women personalities that usually consists of in the groups,
1. The Alpha Female: The alpha female is the strongest, most prominent personality in the group,
who will be as a leader as well as the sole decision maker. Simple decisions like Where to eat,
what to do, and who to see. These kind of women will always negotiate in all the things in order
to make their identity in the group and doesn’t look for the things by which they may lose anything
if they find their way if they do that particular work. They will always try to be independent.
2. The Beta Female: The Beta Female is commonly seen as the Alpha’s sidekick; beta female
support her own decisions and enforce her role in the group. Some would rather be referred to as
pretty or sweet, while the Alpha would prefer powerful or in control.

3. The Omega Female: These kind of are wholesome, honest, and innocent. These women are
loyal to the bone, and even if they are a little mean sometimes, they would walk on water to help
one of them out. Chances are, though, that they are being under appreciated, girlfriend!
4. The Nu Female: The Nu female are the ‘glue’ in the group. They don’t provide the bold voice
like the Alpha, the soft voice like the Beta, or the quiet voice like the Omega, but they do keep
balance amongst the entire group. Some may see them as ordinary, but not everyone can be in the
spotlight – nor does everyone want to be!
5. The Zeta Female: As the Zeta Female, they provide comic relief for the group. Every group
has gotta have one! They are silly, fun, outgoing, light-hearted, and you definitely know how to
replenish any dark moments with lots of laughs.
They don’t mind the Alpha making the decisions because they are used to go with the flow, and
everyone else is great as long as they keep them smiling.

Every kind of female may play their role in the group differently based on the situations. But every
kind of female personalities will be present in the group. Some may expose their character
immediately and some may not. All the groups of females do have collaborative nature and similar
thoughts until and unless they believe that their behaviors will not make the other people trouble.
Because, no one wants to be a trouble maker.

Every women if she has some independence in doing the things will definitely feel like,

Some of the corporate companies are taken into reference to analyze the situations of those
particular companies after having the women employees more in number.
Tata Consultancy Services [TCS]:
1 lakh, and counting: TCS is now top employer of women.
"We have a lot of female talent in India, especially in the technology space. It's great to see that
the company has been able to attract them. From 10,000 to 100,000, that is a growth of about 10
times in 10 years," N Chandrasekaran, CEO and MD, TCS, told Times of India [TOI].
Within TCS, a major chunk —over 40% — of its women employees are either new recruits or at
junior levels, while about 11% are in the senior management.

APPLE: Apple hired 11,000 female employees over the last 12 months.
In the first half of 2015, nearly 50% of the company’s U.S. hires were women, black, Hispanic or
Native American. And while the needle hasn’t budged much—at least percentage-wise—the
company says it has hired more diverse candidates in the past 12 months than in any other year.
According to Cook’s statement: “Some people will read this page and see our progress. Others
will recognize how much farther we have to go. We see both.”

MICROSOFT: Microsoft India are consistently adopting new approaches to enhance the
diversity ratio both within the organization and the industry. Over the years, Microsoft has
undertaken various initiatives to reduce skill shortage and gender imbalance in the technology
sector.
"India has recently witnessed a steady increase in female enrolment in IT fields... However, a large
number of women workers are entry-level and present in certain sectors, such as BPO and IT-
enabled services.

If women are collaborated to make the work, their kind of work will be like a smooth roller coaster
ride with full of enjoyment. All the women will always do prefer to make their surroundings full
energetic and in the kind of whatever they wish to be. So the work will be secondary for them
unless they make their environments to be in a highly positive and healthy environment.

JOHNSON & JOHNSON: Johnson & Johnson JNJ -0.35% is another standout. For 20 years the
pharma, medical device and consumer products multinational has had something called the
Women’s Leadership Initiative, which has grown to 50 chapters nationwide and works to advance
women inside J&J. Of the company’s 38,000 U.S. employees, nearly half, 45%, are women, and
of those, 40% are senior managers. Three women sit on the company’s 13-member board.
IBM: It stands out because it’s the only one of the top 10 with a female CEO. In 2011 the century-
old tech giant tapped Virginia Rometty for the top job. IBM also has an impressive share of female
senior managers, 29%, and 26% of its executives are women, according to NAFE.
Those are strong numbers given than 30% of its 431,000 worldwide employees are women. IBM
even goes after female executives who have left the company through something called the
Reconnections initiative, which offers continuing education and networking.

CONCLUSION
Despite the hardships many women endure daily, second half of the 20 century women have seen
a tremendous gain in three major areas – education, rights and leadership. This has driven the
change with accelerating gender equality. Equality rights matter because it can constrain in the
choice available for women in many aspects of life. More women are educated and literate than
ever before. The dynamics of today’s business has changed particularly because of women
business leaders playing an important role in making the transition away from business as usual.
Not only they are leading managerial roles but also assuming g personal responsibility for tackling
issues concerning various issues. The best example is our Mother who is the best manager in this
world. She gets up early prepare breakfast for her family, washes clothes, worship god, buy grocery
and prepare lunch and dinner for her family .at the end of the day when she go to her bed she has
satisfaction in her face even after such a hard work and she continue this 24x7. So women have
the power to lead.
The world is a better place when women have the power to lead.
