Females in HistoryFemales as a Historical Minority
Introduction
In our Minority Voices in Literature Unit, we have explored the idea of the marginalized voice in Literature. We’ve looked particularly close at racial marginalization, now we’re going to explore the idea of female marginalization.
Task
In groups, you will be researching the argument of female inferiority (to include scholarly sources and stereotypes in pop culture) and tools males used for female oppression.
You will choose one particular female that is important in this gender struggle, identify why she is important, and the tools she uses to overcome her oppression
For your choice, you will create a creative project that attempts to view the world from her perspective. Justify the project.
You will conclude your Webquest with a summative paper(individual) and group presentation that includes a concrete plan on how to recognize and combat female oppression. (Refer to your findings on what perpetuates it.)
