BRETFORD SHOWCASES NEWEST TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT FURNITURE
AT FETC AND TCEA
Newly Shipping Intelligent Laptop Carts, Antimicrobial Cart Surface Protection,
Booth Promotions and End User Rebate
CHICAGO — January 12, 2010 — Bretford Manufacturing, Inc., manufacturer of dependable furniture
products that improve how people work and learn, continues to progress the effectiveness of technology in the
classroom with its latest mobile carts and antimicrobial cart surface finishes. Bretford will show a variety of
technology furniture for educational environments, including the first laptop computer cart with a brain, during
FETC 2010 (Booth #851) January 12-15 in Orlando, Florida and TCEA 2010 (Booth #508) February 8-12 in
Austin, Texas.
According to Cindy Weinschreider, senior marketing manager for Bretford Manufacturing, Inc., “Our booth
theme for both of these shows is ‘Ask Me How.’ Each Bretford representative will wear a shirt with a specific
question about one of our technology furniture products. When attendees ask about the question, they will be
entered into a drawing to win $100, while learning more about Bretford’s new Intelligent Laptop Computer
carts and other furniture support products designed to help make the teaching environment more productive.”
Intelligent Laptop Computer Carts Now Shipping, End User Rebate
Introduced last year, Bretford’s newly shipping 20- and 30-unit Intelligent Laptop Computer carts are the first
of their kind to incorporate a sophisticated Power Management System or “brain.” The brain protects and
preserves the life of the laptops by redistributing power every three minutes, not only to ensure consistent
charging but also to keep the laptops cool and prevent overheating. The brain also senses when the laptop
batteries are almost charged, then automatically decreases power, which extends battery life and saves energy.
Up to $75 in end user rebates will be offered for every Intelligent Laptop Computer cart purchase made
between March 1, 2010, and June 30, 2010.
Additional Booth Highlights
FETC and TCEA attendees who visit Bretford will also have the opportunity to learn more about its
antimicrobial cart surface finishes, which protect against the growth of bacteria odor, mold, mildew and
fungus. The company’s NETBOOK32 Micro Computer Laptop carts, Presenter’s Assistant for Learning (PAL)
carts, and other technology furniture products for education will also be shown in the booths. In addition, Chris
Petrick, Bretford’s new CEO will be on hand during TCEA.
Live video and news updates directly from the company’s FETC and TCEA booths will be available on
