The model won’t ever make it into production and is justan exercise to show Fiat know-how in all aspects of recreational vehicle engineering.

The Fiat Ducato 4x4 Expedition Show Camper Van took partto all the main events dedicated to caravanning in Europe.Outfitted on a Ducato camper base, with extended overhang

and high roof is the result of the collaboration with top-qualityrecreational vehicle furniture maker Tecnoform. Also involved in theproject are Dangel for the four-wheel drive system and Olmedo forbody customisation.Built on the bestseller, Fiat Ducato camper base, long wheelbaseconfiguration with overhang and high roof, Fiat Ducato 4x4Expedition is designed for adventurous people seeking a vehiclewhich is high-performing and agile on the road and has a large,comfortable living space and more interior height than usual allo-wing to stand up in it. On the outside, the Show Camper Van fea-tures a two-colour paint job in two shades of grey, a raised, wide-ned ride and plenty of Ducato Camper customisations, like a frontskid-plate and LED DRLs. The outfit is completed by a front winchand roof-rack, which is fully equipped for holidays off the beatentrack and can be walked on in part, meaning it can be used as ahandy outdoor space at over two and a half metres from the

ground. Smart technical solutions enhance its versatility and reas-sert its strong character. Fiat Ducato 4x4 Expedition was preparedfor customers with a sporty, adventurous lifestyle who want thebest technological contents. This is why the outfit includes tabletholder with USB port, touchscreen Radio UconnectTM NAV integra-ted the navigation system, rear camera and LED DRLs.The vehicle is the result of a collaboration with well-known expertsin the sector. The Four-wheel drive expert Dangel, with more than35 years of expertise in the field, designed the 4x4 transmissionsystem with the goal of enhancing its adventurous, non-conventio-nal character. More in detail, the permanent all-wheel drive systemwith viscous coupling combined with a special raised ride and over-sized tyres allows to tackle all surfaces safely and confidently. Theexteriors were designed by Olmedo, a company where craftsman-ship and ingenuity meet to satisfy the needs of the most diversecustomers. Olmedo’s goal is to provide solutions for improving tran-sport conditions and special outfits for various uses, also for themobility impaired, to guarantee freedom of movement, comfortand safety.
