ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE YEARS Standard Treatment Guidelines
Piloted 20 STGs under the aegis of health insurance committee
FICCI was the nodal agency to develop NSTGs for the identified 20 disease specialties covering nearly ~230 conditions
Clinical Pathways for RSBY in partnership with World Bank & NICE, targeting common conditions for General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology & Nephrology
Member STG Committee managed by NHSRC for primary and secondary care. Currently working on 14 diseases across 10 specialities

FICCI facilitated MoHFW’s work on development of EHR standards, which were notified in August 2013
FICCI is a member of MoHFW’s Steering Committee for EHR and Legal Sub-Committee on Security & Privacy
Created awareness on adoption of SNOMED CT through sensitization workshops and meetings
Submitted recommendations on NeHA and for setting up of IHIN

MoHFW created a National Costing Guideline working group after reviewing FICCI’s knowledge paper on Universal Health cover for India – Evolving a Framework for Healthcare Reimbursement Methodologies, released in September 2013

ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE YEARS Bridging the Skill Gaps
FICCI Health Services Committee had constituted a Task Force on Skills Gaps in Healthcare with the objective to improve the existing skill sets in the country by identifying skill gaps and suggesting academic and training programs, related curriculum, and appropriate training requirements.
A pan India survey was conducted to estimate the demand of various skills in the sector. A list of 42 skill-sets was derived from the survey, out which key skills were identified to be taken up by the task force including Patient Care Coordinator, Dialysis Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, Operation Theatre Technician etc.
The Task Force collaborated with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to undertake curriculum development under NVEQF Format and successfully completed and submitted, competencies based, Twelve Healthcare and Paramedic Course Curricula, which were later handed over to the Healthcare Sector Skills Council of NSDC

ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE YEARS Non-Communicable Diseases
FICCI’s Health Services Committee constituted a Task Force on NCD Management and Prevention
The task forces identified 4 diseases to be focused - Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia, Hypertension and Cardiac Risk, Obesity and Overweight
The Task Force collaborated with the MoHFW to implement a Pilot on NCD in two districts, namely, Rae Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) and Washim (Maharashtra). A report on the current situation and the gaps in implementation, for both the districts, was submitted to the DGHS after the field visits conducted by FICCI’s task force.

ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE YEARS Indian Industry in Solidarity for Health (IISH Kosh)
The government mandated all the corporates to contribute 2% of their income on CSR activities.
In line with the bill, FICCI proposed the creation of a virtual pooling of industry CSR funds by creating IISH (Indian Industry in Solidarity for Health) Kosh to channelize funds into priority area in healthcare identified by the the Advisory Group guided by MoHFW, GoI
FICCI Swasth Bharath TF will work with the Ministry to develop a Directory of Activities in priority areas
