Eremitas are wines made from the same variety, Rabigato. Each wine comes from distinct parcels but they all come from the Douro Superior (Mediterranean / Continental climate), south facing and are in schist soil from the Desejosa Formation presenting small rocky and altitude dierences. Although vinied in the same way this parcels create dierent wines! It stands out the "telluric information" that each place transmits. Grape Variety Rabigato Winemaking e grapes are go directly into a "calcatórium" (granite basin) followed by a pigeage for 3 hours. e grapes pass then in a vertical press were the juice runs by gravity to concrete vats in the underground cellar with optimal natural temperature and humidity. Spontaneous fermentation is done without temperature control. e wine ages 1 year in concrete tanks. Parcels Antão do Deserto: deep soil near a stream, 350m altitude. Paulo de Tebas: shallow and rocky soil, 400m altitude. Amon de Kelia: moderately deep soil and more grey with a micro fail of quartz crossing the plot, 500m altitude. Eremitas are wines made from the same variety, Rabigato. Each wine comes from distinct parcels but they all come from the Douro Superior (Mediterranean / Continental climate), south facing and are in schist soil from the Desejosa Formation presenting small rocky and altitude differences. Although vinified in the same way this parcels create different wines! It stands out the "telluric information" that each place transmits.
