PLANNING IN ADVANCE
Conduct a pre-visit to familiarize with the major features of the field trip.
Taking digital photographs to share with students prior to the visit.
Record addresses, directions, contact persons, phone numbers, email addresses, etc.
ADMINISTRATION PERMISSION Contact the educational coordinator for
the site and arrange the date and time. Send a letter to parents of the students
informing them about the field trip. Permission from the institution should be
taken previously.
SHEET OF ACTIVITIES Develop schedule for the day. Plan activities that allow students to
work alone, in pairs or small groups Activities might include:
Mystery with clues provided Adventure game Field notebooks for recording answers to
prepared questions based on clues

PREPARing THE STUDENTS Discuss the purpose of the field trip and
how it relates to the current unit of study.
Introduce visual observation skills. Introduce vocabulary words that will be
used by docents during the tour. Show photographs or posters of the field
trip site or related to exhibits that will be viewed.

FOLLOW UP Make sure that all the materials and the
belongings are safe Preserve collected materials in the form of
dried specimen, or in liquid preservation and organisms can be cultured

Arrange necessary finances Guide students towards decision taking Act as a manager at execution stage Checks indiscipline , Encourages, Involve all the students Supervises the preservation and cultivation of collected
material Evaluate to see the achievement of educational objectives
