RELEASE NOTES

EFI™ is pleased to announce the release of Fiery® XF and Fiery proServer 6.2.2. This latest release is free of charge to everyone with their Fiery XF software covered under an EFI Software Maintenance and Support Agreement, (SMSA), or an EFI Enhanced Support Program, (ESP).

Highlights:

• Color quality – Support for the new ISO 12647-2 reference profiles and Fogra 51/52 characterization data

• Usability – VPC uploads via the Fiery XF Uploader

• System enhancements – Mac OS X 10.11 support for the Fiery XF Client and Server

• New printer drivers – 11 new printer drivers for EFI VUTEk, EPSON, HP and OKI devices

Color Quality Improvements:

• Support for two new ISO 12647-2 reference profiles, Fogra 51 and 52 characterization data, plus four new workflow templates.

Usability Improvements:

• The Fiery XF Uploader can now also be used to upload VPC files to the Fiery XF server. VPC files are used to correct input job color data through gradation curves. VPCs can be created using the Fiery XF Color Tools.

• The Fiery XF 6.2.2 Client, Server, and all included tools, fully support Mac OS X 10.11, El Capitan.

• A Mac OS X 10.11 compliant Unidriver is offered as an update through the Fiery XF Online Update in parallel to the Fiery XF 6.2.2 update.

Availability:

• Fiery XF 6.2.2 is applicable to all configurations of Fiery XF and Fiery proServer. The 6.2.2 online update can be applied to 6.2, or, 6.2.1 installations. Customers running 6.0, or 6.1, first need to apply the online update(s) to get to 6.2, then use the updater to 6.2.2. Customers with an earlier version installed need to perform a full installation of 6.x, then perform the necessary online update(s) to get to 6.2.2. Fiery XF 6.1 for Jetrion is available only as a full installation, regardless of the currently installed version.
