The CAWV is working with National Travel to secure flight discounts from USAirways and Delta. When calling National Travel VIP Services, please let them know you are with the Contractors Association of West Virginia. Contact National Travel at 304-357-0808 or 800-557-0842.

Airport Shuttle Service Taxi service and airport transportation service is available to and from the air-port and will also be provided by the CAWV and Tropical Incentives of Cabo San Lucas. Information on Airport Shuttle info will be sent to members when hotel information is confirmed. Rental cars are available at hotel.

PASSPORTS REQUIRED

Airline Information Obtaining desired airline reservations to and from Cabo San Lucas (SJD) in January is going to be difficult for mem-bers who wait to make them at a later date. There are flights on USAir from Char-lotte to Cabo and on Delta from Atlanta to Cabo. Continental Airlines flies via Houston.

Room Deposits

Room rates are $285 per night plus 20 percent room tax. Convention rates are applicable three nights before and three nights following the CAWV meeting. A two-night deposit is required with your registration form. The cut off for rooms is October 15, 2010. All unused rooms will be re-leased. Rooms after October 29, 2010 will be on an availability only basis.

Cancellation Policy If you must cancel the meeting, full refunds will be granted prior to November 5, 2010. A refund less $300 will be granted between November 5, 2010—December 4, 2010. No refunds will be granted after December 4, 2010.

Rooms will be run-0f the house so specific rooms cannot be guaran-teed. All rooms have an oceanview. The CAWV does have suite rates available on a limited basis.

With many different dining choices, you won’t have to leave the resort. The Fiesta Americana has dining for any occa-sion. Whether you want something light or a romantic evening, there is something for everyone Take a look at a few of the choices. Vina del Mar, serves lavish breakfast buffets and theme night dinners. Rosato, offers a breathtaking view of the ocean and wonderful continental Italian cuisine. Peninsula, offers wonderful fresh seafood and a world class pizza oven.

Meetings The CAWV Division meetings will be held on Sunday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m., immediately following the Prayer Breakfast. All members are en-couraged to attend the Division meeting of their choice. The CAWV Business Sessions will be held Monday and Tues-day mornings at 7:30 a.m. The CAWV Program Committee has worked hard to present a wide variety of topics on is-sues impacting West Virginia’s con-struction industry.

Come and be a part of the island-fantasy as we enjoy a fun filled eve-ning Caribbean style. The CAWV Associate Division will sponsor the Welcome Night Reception on the beach Saturday, January 29th. This tropical evening will be the perfect start to our Midyear Meeting.

Visit with friends as we listen to the sounds of the Old Mexico. The pris-tine backdrop of the Sea of Cortez will create a wonderful atmosphere. A buffet style dinner will be served as we dine by lighted torch.

This is a wonderful evening to kick back and relax. The fun will last well into the evening.

Intricate arts and crafts made by local artisans can be found at the Sol Dorader in Los Cabos. Hand painted pottery and hand-blown glass objects make unique gifts for visitors to commemorate their stay. Visitors will also find a wide selection of beach clothing, upscale boutique items, hats, handbags and many of one of kind items at the Plaza del Mar in Los Cabos. Visitors to Los Cabo can experience the destination’s vast offerings throughout the city, from a thrilling night of salsa dancing to a romantic evening of jazz tunes and cocktails. The downtown is a mere 15 minutes away by taxi and features the del Marina which hosts over 50 restaurants and bar as well as an upscale shopping mall. The CAWV plans day trips to the downtown for shopping and lunch.

Cellular phone service is available in Mexico. Please be advised that

roaming charges for data and voice services can be extremely high.

Check with your service provider prior to departure.

Climate/What to Bring

Cabo boasts a mild climate year round; the January temperature

averages 80+ degrees. In general, lightweight sport and resort-style clothes are appropriate. A light jacket for cool evenings is sug-

gested. American travel irons, hair dryers and razors do not require

adaptors. Be sure to pack your fa-vorite bathing suit and sunscreen.

Currency

The official currency of Mexico is the Mexican pesos, which is di-

vided into 100 cents. Most vendors in the resort area will present U.S. dollars as well as Pesos. The U. S. Dollar is very widely accepted at

most retail outlets.

As of this date the U.S. Exchange rate is 12 - 1 and fluctuates

almost daily.

MasterCard and Visa are accepted everywhere. PLEASE NOTE: American Express is not widely

accepted due to very high transac-tion fees. Please plan accordingly.

Fiesta Kids Club

The Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos caters to even the youngest of

travelers at the adult-supervised kids club. Designed for kids ages 4

through 12, the Fiesta Kids Club offers a day of laughter and fun with

activities including games, swim-ming and sports.

The day camp provides supervised

care for children of guests, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily for a

nominal fee.
