NMF II enables online transaction by investors through their distributors. Investor is able to transact in multiple mutual funds through single payment. FIFA partnered CII for India Mutual Fund Industry Summit on 30th June 2015 in Hotel TheLalit, Mumbai CII's Mutual Fund Summit is an annual initiative geared towards assessing the growth trajectory of the industry, celebrating its achievements and addressing the challenges which plague the industry. With multiple stakeholders from the industry including asset managers, distributors, partners and the regulator coming together, the CII Mutual Fund Summit serves as a great platform to facilitate thought provoking discussions. The Indian Mutual fund industry has witnessed strong growth since 2010. This impressive growth can be attributed to various factors such as rising household savings, strong positive sentiments in the economy, introduction of new products and schemes, regulatory support in specific areas like pensions, etc and increased awareness through investor education campaigns. However, the industry continues to face certain challenges such as poor levels of investor service and low penetration of mutual fund products due to low awareness beyond select topcities. To overcome these challenges, we need to step back and reflect on the opportunities and challenges in the near term and collectively commit to grow the industry further.
