The Flooring Materials Application Package is anintegral part of the core operating software. Ittakes full advantage of the power of 

 Wonderware® InTouch™ software. The

application package is designed specifically forFlooring Materials lines and is further tailored foreach specific application.

The Flooring Materials Application Packagedefines basic real time measurement, networkcommunications, data processing, and operatorinterface functions.

Optional enhancements, such as special displays,control, SPC, IndustrialSQL Server™, third party I/O servers, etc., are available to expand the basicapplication package to a complete processmanagement system.

Embedded in the Application Package iscommunications support for the system Ethernetnetwork.

The scalable nature of the architecture, coupledwith the flexibility and expandability associatedwith the Application Package, allows the system tobe adapted to evolving process and businessrequirements.

The combination of Two Zone Control, AutoProfile Control, and Mid-Range Control etc.greatly improves product quality by adjusting theprocess to hold product profile flat and to itsaverage target. Nominal Control adjusts productaverage to a fixed target. Target ManagementControl adjusts product to a System calculatedflexible target, while providing both low point andlow average protection.

The Control ensures product uniformity andsuperior roll quality, resulting in quality improvement, scrap reduction, and material

savings for tangible economic returns.

DESCRIPTION

The Flooring Materials Application Package

provides the system’s core software. Thisapplication is designed to take advantage of thepower of Wonderware ® InTouch™ software.

Scanning Sensor SupportThe Flooring Materials Application Packageprovides full support for the complete family of scanning sensors. Available online measurementsinclude basis weight.

Standard sensor processing features includeautomatic edge-of-sheet detection. Virtual sensorsallow calculated properties, such as product

density, to be displayed and manipulated asactual sensor data. Third party sensors can beintegrated as well.

Accurate Net Coat Weight ProfilesSICAL, Substrate Independent Calibration,simplifies setup by matching the calibration of thesubstrate and coated product scanner. By eliminating substrate sensitivity from thecalibration, SICAL reduces the number of calibration sets from all combinations of substrates and coatings to only the number of coating grades. EXACTRAX Same SpotMeasurement ensures accurate net coat weightcalculations by ensuring that the substrate andcoated product scanners traverse precisely thesame path on the web, even as line speed varies.This synchronization eliminates sensitivity to point-to point variations and formation in the substratematerial. Network coupling of the scanners resultsin synchronization of scanner timing, which ismore precise than conventional systems.

Distributed Data AcquisitionThe Flooring Materials Application Package

provides support for distributed process inputs,which interface to the system. Communications toother modules is by means of a high speedEthernet Network. Optional Wonderware I/Oservers enable full integration of distributeddevices, providing transparent access tocontrollers, PLCs and other intelligent devices fromthe operator displays.

Intuitive Display StructureThe system is designed to allow operators toeasily navigate the system and access

information quickly. This intuitive menu structureenables access to all process informationthrough a split touchscreen. Values and text aremodified with a pop-up keypad or menu, whichis called by simply touching the field. Thecommon display header on each screenprovides direct access to the most commondisplays, such as, Scan, Control, Recipe, Alarmand status messages.

Platform for Process IntegrationOptional software packages allow the FlooringMaterials Application Package to be expanded

to address full process integration. Theseenhancements include advanced control,display, communications, analysis, anddatabase functions. The scalable architecture of the system enables these advanced functions tobe added incrementally, as process andbusiness requirements dictate.
