Filed for bankruptcy house not fully covered! HELP!? I filed for bankruptcy. I was told that the house myself and the of two my broth hers own would be protected. I never said I lived in the house. Know where does it ask in the paper work if I live in the house and no one asked. Now I'm told t hat only 23,000 some odd dollars is exempt! I owe 33,000 some odd dollars.
