Film circles are structured film discussion group(s). Each given member is assigned a role to take charge of bearing in mind the objective of analysing and discussing the film collaboratively with a bit of depth.

1- Choosing an appropriate film

1- Comprehensible language 2- Intriguing plot 3- Subtitles if possible ( software : subtitle editors )2- Preparing students

1- Modelling 2 – A group first attempt

3- Assigning roles & Handing out role sheets 4- Watching the first part of the film

( it depends on the film and the teacher’s objectives)

5- Getting into groups according to the number of the attendees

The teacher as a guide can intervene

while watching the movie to make sure students are following.

Checklists can be devised based on the teacher’s objectives and targeted areas.
