Genre hybrid

My film consists of four genres

I intend to successfully blend them together to create a flowing and continuity style to my piece.

First concept

Old Horror film with a twist

Film noir

• Film noir is associated with a low-key black-and-white visual style that has roots in German Expressionist cinematography.

• My two characters will be placed under a lamp post in a low lit street for the first scene.

• The score will cosist of brass music creaing a sultry mood.

Horror

• My horror scene will have an element of the old 1920s silent films.

• Creating distorted and exaggerated shadows on the gravestones

Action/chase

•Fast cutting editing creating suspense

•Rapidly changing camera angles

Twist ending

At the end of my film there will be a twist ending. Throughout my piece i will be building up tention and creating suspence then releasing it with a comical twist
