Vrindavan is a town in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is the site of

an ancient forest where according to the Mahabharata, a grand Epic of

Sanskrit literature dating back to the 3000BC, the diety Krishna spent his

childhood days. The city of Lord Krishna's birthplace, near Agra-Delhi

highway. The town hosts hundreds of temples dedicated to the worship of

Radha and Krishna and is considered sacred by a number of religious

traditions.

Mathura: is located approximately 50 km north of Agra and 145 km south-

east of Delhi; about 11 kilometers from the town of Vrindavan and 22

kilometers from Govardhan. It is the administrative centre of Mathura District

of Uttar Pradesh, India. During the ancient period, Mathura was an economic

hub, located at the junction of important caravan routes. Today, it is a fast

expanding city with over 2.5 million residents. As of 2011 India census,

Mathura had a population of 2,541,894. Mathura is well connected by road

and train from major cities in India.

Weather: Vrindavan (Mathura) experiences upward swing in temperature

most of the year. Winters are pleasant though a bit chilly. This period is the

ideal time to roam around the sacred town. The minimum temperature at

times goes below 2-3 degree Celsius but mostly remains around 7-8 C .0

Bon Maharaj Institutions, Vrindavan has been named in memory of his

holiness Tridandi Swami Bon Maharaj, the great seer of the Braj region. It is

an ideal icon of his golden dreams. His most devoted disciples are

engrossed in immortalizing the name of Bhakti Hridaya Bon Maharaj, the

founder President of Bon Maharaj group of Institutions who founded

Vaishnava Theological University, Vrindavan in 1948 thereafter Institute of

Oriental Philosophy in the year 1952. In 1997 Bon Maharaj Institute of

Management and Technology (B.I.M.T.) in 2003 Vrindavan Law College,

Vrindavan and in 2008 Bon Maharaj Engineering College were

established, which are certainly a tribute to Late Saint B.H. Bon Maharaj

(D.Litt, I. Ph.D., D.D., D.D., D.Theos. & D.A.E.H.), the light that merged in

divinity on the 7th of July 1982.
