Ways To Participate1. Online: Girl Scouts use Smart Cookies to send secure eCards (emails) and direct ship links to

customers to purchase cookies online.2. In-person: Girl Scouts use the cookie order card and ask customers to support their sale or send

an eCard where the customer can select "girl delivery."3. Direct sales: Girl Scout have cookies on hand to sell to customers via booth sales, walkabouts & door-to-door.

Cookie ShareYour package donation will benefit our military and local communityorganizations. Customers can donate to Cookie Share on the orderform and online. $5 per package is paid at the time of order. (Cookie2020 Share patch available at GSWNY stores for $1 each.)

Customers can purchase a Gift Box! Order online from the girl’s SmartCookies link with five packages of cookies that includes apersonalized note to be shipped to someone special! Customers willalso receive subsidized shipping!

Girls can superpower their sales by opening an online store!Smart Cookies is the online program used by girls to email eCards and online links to family and friends, inviting them to purchase cookies. There are two wayscustomers can purchase cookies online:

Direct Ship eCards: Customers will pay for their cookies + shipping with a credit card. Cookies will be delivered to their doorstep by mail. Customers that order 5 boxesor more for direct delivery pay a reduced shipping cost! (subsidized by GSWNY)Girl Delivery eCards: Customers place a digital order for cookies. (Payment made at time of delivery) Girls/parents give this digital order to their troop leader to bepart of the inital order or filled from a cupboard. Girls deliver the cookies to the customer in person and collect payment at that time.

Mid-December, look for an email from noreply@abcsmartcookies.com.(check your spam folders) Click the link in that email to begin. Complete the profile page, which includes selecting a username and password. Click submit to complete the registration. Look for another email that confirms her account set-up. Go to the family cookie information meeting.Sign and return all parent permission forms timely.Provide transportation for order taking and delivery.Help your Girl Scout network with family and friends, but let her dothe “ask” so she can learn important business skills.Help her arrange to take orders at your place of work, worship, orother places where people might purchase cookies.Volunteer to help out the group cookie coordinator when needed.Offer to be a supervising Booth Sale adult—there lots's ofopportunities to lend a hand.Never do things for your Girl Scout that she can do for herself!

Join us for the largest gathering of girls in the world! You and an adult guardian will travel to Orlando, Florida forG.I.R.L. 2020! Cadettes, Seniors, and/or Ambassadors and adults can experience amazing speakers, participate ininteractive sessions for G.I.R.L.s, and immerse themselves in all things “G.I.R.L. Scout”!

All Girl Scout Cookie proceeds stay local to:Fund projects and amazing girl‐led adventures for troops.  Cover the cost of running the Girl Scout Cookie Program, including the cost ofcookies, materials and logistics.  Helps the council provide Girl Scout programs in STEM, the outdoors, lifeskills, and entrepreneurship, as well as camps, leadership training and more!

Where does the money go?

When do girls collect payment?Payment is collected when the cookies are delivered. Do not leave cookieswith a customer without receiving payment. Do not take money forcookies before delivery except Share purchases.

Are cookie purchases tax deductible?Cookies purchased for personal or group consumption are not taxdeductible. However, cookies purchased for Cookie Share, when thecustomer does not receive the cookies or benefit directly by paying forthe cookies, are tax deducible. (Customers should consult their personaltax advisor.) Your troop cookie manager can provide a receipt if needed.
