I. Introductionr The following h the final documentat ion package for Contract Number 68-0 1-6598, as required by Articla XII-C of the contract.
II. Chronol oaical Su111111ation
Mobilization period wu from 6 July 1982 through 16 July 1982. Activitiu during thil tiae included aettins up of traileu, electric, plumbing, and telephone hookupa, and construction of parking .reas.
From 16 July 1982 through 5 August 1982, Emergency Technical Servicu Corporation and CECOS prepared a bunkered area fo r the unpac:ltin& of lab-packa and unpacked all drums in Building 2 auapected of being packaged laboratory chemicals (see Summary of Materials Dilpoaed for quantities), An averaae of ten druma per day were unpacked. The Caterpillar 215 Loader with drum arappler wu used throughout this period to move all dru•a out of Building 2 and i nto the bunkered area. All peraonnel in the bunkered area ware duaaed in a 110dif1ed Level A un1for11. Throughout the entire operation, the USEPA developed safety plan was adhered to.
For the period 6 Auguat 1982 through 9 August 1982. the dte vaa ahut down except for aecurity .

1. 21 detonation• with approximately five pounda per detonation for a total of 105 pounds.

0 All of the above aatuiala wen placed in CECOS' Secure Cheaical HanJit!Unt Facility in Niaaara Falla, New York, with the exception of codu 6920-T, 6920-AE, and 6920-ZK, which were diapoaed of at Tricil , Rollina , and ENSCO respectively ,
In addition to the above materiala, seven each 4-cubic feet lecture cylinders were disposed of on site, There were five chlorine cylinders which turned out to be empty and two phosgene cylinders which were full. The cylinders were elow\y bubbled through a sodium hydroxide scrub solution. Throuahout the bubbling procesa, the aolution was checked to ensure that the pH remained basic. Following complet i on of the cylinders, the drum was clond and left on aite for diapoaal, along with the othn cauatica.
An additional 19 cylinders, five pounda of DDT, and 27.33 pounds of reac tive materials were diapoaed of by Resource Conservation and Recovery Agency o( FanDin&ton, New Hampshire. The cylindera and reactive materiala were detonated at a State-approved site near Keene, New Hampshire. The DDT was brokered by RCRA to Signo Trading for reclamation.
