IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW – PLEASE READ ALL ADULTS ACCOMPANYING YOUR CHILD TO CLASS MUST READ THEMRETURNING STUDENTS: Please re-read carefully, as there’ve been a few changes and additionsPLEASE PRINT OUT, SIGN, & MAIL TO ADDRESS ABOVE OR TURN IN AT THE FIRST CLASS

DISTRACTIONS DURING CLASS TOYS & FOODPLEASE remove juice, food, toys, (or anything a child might consider a toy, like your wallet, keys, etc.!), stuffed animals, blankies, etc. before entering cla both to avoid distracting the other children, and to maintain a clean environment. Breast & bottle feeding in your lap is always fine, but if your mobile ch wants to eat or drink, please do so outside of the circle.CELL PHONESPlease make sure to turn off your cell phone! If you are expecting an important call, please put your phone on vibrate in your pocket or on a counter, and

leave the class area to take the call. TALKINGPlease refrain from socializing during class—the children learn by your example the importance of paying attention in class.PARTICIPATION

Your degree of participation in class is a fundamental part of what makes it work, and has a very direct effect on how much your child gets out of theexperience. So please sing along, repeat phrases for reinforcement or emphasis, dance with them, play an instrument during the jam session, and praisetheir efforts (with a great job! Fantastic etc).

It’s very important is to allow your child to participate at their own pace. Once a child is old enough to grip an instrument themselves, figuring out howuse it and choosing to do so on their own is an important part of their learning process, so your ‘helping’ them actually hinders that process. The best wahelp is to play your own instrument so that they see you enjoying yourself, which makes it safer for them to experiment with something new to them. Wiinfants, I also recommend gently tapping the beat on their bodies as a way of connecting them to the music through you, their favorite conduit!HEALTH

To cut down on germ-sharing, please use the wet wipes provided to clean any instruments that have been "taste-tested", or touched by drooly fingers, before returning them to their container.

Please be considerate of other class members when determining whether or not to bring a child to class who may be sick. It's not possible to make a hand fast rule here--runny noses can be the result of teething or the end of a something that is no longer contagious. While it's hard to know sometimes uafter the fact, when in doubt please keep your child home as a courtesy to the other families.

GUESTS Adults (friends, family, sitters), and infant siblings (under two months) are always welcome. Other children (friends, unenrolled siblings) are welcom

visit once, with a supervising adult. If your child’s nanny cares for another child occasionally, and they bring them more than once, those visits need to bpaid for at the drop-in rate, either by you or the child’s parents. APPROPRIATE USE & PRIVACY CLAUSEPhotos, audio and video recordings of class are allowed for your* family's personal use only; the methods, techniques, and materials of class are not to beused or copied for commercial purposes; the contact information of other class members is not to be solicited or used for commercial purposes.Failure to honor this clause can lead to legal action.INSURANCE WAIVER
