For the Penguin book cover brief ive developed a few initial ideas in different styles. Two of them i just used some illustrations i created that i felt related to the story synopsis. having seen the film and read the book i felt i know the story well. I wanted to include some photography for a couple of my ideas so i used some photos that i took when visiting an abandoned mental asylum, using the images that most resemble the one that would be in the book.For the ideas without photography i just combined illustrations with digitally created backgrounds like this one.

Evaluation

Throughout all the independent practice work i have tried to keep to my main favourite style and include illustration in every brief, i am most happy with the book cover brief, it is easier to do more work for a brief when it is work i like, and im pleased with the outcomes. My time manage-ment for the independent work has been quite poor as its been so free and up to me when i work on it which has led to me getting a bit behind with some of it. But with the work i have done so far im confident that with some time and work to develop them i can have some really good final outcomes for the competition briefs.
