What the lo-down?

This five minute film is not very long, but portrays each of the characters’ transitions effectively. The backing music complements the film and the upbeat tempo emphasises the feel good nature.

This is a story based on the saying ‘See a penny, pick it up, all day long you’ll have good luck’ and represents this to the maximum possibility!

Although the persona of silent short films tend to connote a Charlie Chaplin effect, this film however does not… at all. The use of the characters’ emotions are portrayed beautifully through the cast they have used, a sure sign of brilliant up and coming actors and actresses.

Well guys and girls of the film world, we have another fantastic treat in store for you this week… a national film exclusive!The up and coming film producers DabTurn Productions have given us an exclusive look around the set of their new film ‘Penny’.This short film is available online and for download. It will also feature in the film4 cameo session on Saturday night so keep an exclusive eye out!‘Penny’ is a magnificent example of the evolution of technology and the effect it has had on the youth of today, as the film was shot in the space of three days and put together on a simple computer that you and I would have at home; this truly is a magnificent example of today’s generation creating and making use of the utilities that they have around them. The two girls attending their local college will host a preview evening show casing ‘Penny’ along with many other independent film makers. They have also been entered for young film makers of the year and will receive the result shortly
