1 PROJECT TITLE Fabrication Of Beam Pumping Mechanism (DIPLOMA PROJECT) SUPERVISOR Dr.Sabareesaan K.J
Beam Pump is a ground drive for a reciprocating piston
pump in an oil well. Because of high viscosity of liquid, beam pump
is used to bring it out. The engineering term for this type of
mechanism is a walking beam. It is used to mechanically lift liquid
out of the well if there is not enough bottom hole pressure for the
liquid to flow all the way to the motor to a vertical reciprocating
motion to drive the pump shaft. The project consists of different
parts which are: The Base, Counter weight, Horse head, Legs, and
waking beam.
In this project work, we make an attempt to fabricate the
beam pumping mechanism to exhibit its functionality and it can be
used for demonstration purpose in oil and gas labs.

In the field of manufacturing and design Engineering, There
are many varieties of clamps are available in market like single
screw angle clamp, double screw angle clamp ,welding clamp etc.
for many different purposes. Some are temporary, as used to
position components while fixing them together, others are intended
to be permanent. A clamp is a fastening device used to hold or
secure objects tightly together to prevent movement or separation
through the application of inward pressure. Hence an attempt has
been made to fabricate an angle clamp by considering mild steel as
a material.
A welding angle clamp is a heavy-duty model, which is
specially designed for welding corners. This clamp has a
particularly strong and sturdy design, as welding involves joining
two parts together through fusion, an act which puts a lot of
pressure on to the clam. And also An angle clamp can be used to
assemble a variety of different joints like Mitre joint, T joint and butt
joint.

PROJECT TITLE Fabrication Of Roof for Painting Area (DIPLOMA PROJECT) SUPERVISOR Mr. Nasser alhinai
Fabrication of roof which made from steel frame and
covered by profile sheet. This roof area divided two partitions one
side need to be used for Painting projects and other side for storing
scrap and not in use or Dismantled projects.
The roof designed to reflect sunlight and getting shade
while working in this area and protect from water rain effectively.
4 PROJECT TITLE Fabrication Of Welding Demonstration Table With Vice (DIPLOMA PROJECT) SUPERVISOR Mr. Darsan Rajeevan Sheela
Welding is one of the jointing methods in manufacturing
process. Welding exercise is included in various courses in diploma
level in mechanical engineering. Idea of the project in as per the
requirement from the welding workshop.
There are some limitations while demonstration the
exercise for students with current welding rig. Current setup is
covered from three sides. Which create problems while
demonstration the exercise to all the students. So, we enquired the
requirement with lecturers and technicians who hand the course
.Immediately found assemble demonstration table will help in
solving the problems.
5 PROJECT TITLE Fabrication Of Air Engine (ADVANCE DIPLOMA PROJECT) SUPERVISOR Mr. Nasser Al-Ruqeishi
In the emerging technologies, in the field of hydraulics and
pneumatics, air engine is a type of motor, which does mechanical
work by expanding compressed air. Pneumatic motors generally
convert the compressed air energy to mechanical work through
either linear or rotary motion and vice versa.
Linear motion can come from either a diaphragm or a
piston actuator, while rotary motion is supplied by either a vane
type air motor, piston air motor, air turbine or gear type motor.
Hence with the advent of this technology, in the present
investigation an attempt has been made to fabricate an air engine,
using acrylic as a base material also by using CNC machine.
Initially we design structure of air engine using AUTOCAD and
converting to CNC program by using CNC router machine. Finally
finishing operation will be done by using different machines.

It is a use to lubricate the part of an engine .Its use to
make the movement of the parts easily and in the fast way. It’s the part of the main construction of the machine.
This part it include in the controlling the speed of the
machine.

The project attempts to design the stair climbing trolley
which can carry heavy objects up the stairs with less effort compared to carrying them manually.
The main objective of the project is to find an efficient and
user friendly method of carrying various movement while climbing the stairs.
9 PROJECT TITLE Fabrication and Analysis Of Condenser (B.TECH PROJECT) SUPERVISOR Dr. R. Senthil Kumar
A vapor-‐compression refrigeration system, in which the
refrigerant undergoes phase changes, is one of the many refrigeration cycles and is the most widely used method for air-‐conditioning of buildings and automobiles. It is also used in domestic and commercial refrigerators, large-‐scale warehouses for chilled or frozen storage of foods and meats, refrigerated trucks and railroad cars, and a host of other commercial and industrial services.
The condenser plays an important role in the refrigeration
system to condense vapor refrigerant to liquid. So, the condenser to be designed for the given refrigerant conditions and analyzing for its maximum performance.
The design has been done in Phase I to attain the details of
condenser and the performance has been estimated in Phase II with fabricated shell and tube system. A try was made with a refrigerant R134A and finally used water steam experiment the system.
Results have been analyzed from the data taken during
experimentation and effectiveness was found. 10
PROJECT TITLE Hands-On Modeling and Analysis Of Shredder Machine (B.TECH PROJECT) SUPERVISOR Mr.Prabaharan T
Shredder machine is used to cut the materials into either strips of small parts. We focus on shredding the waste plastic water bottle that dumped in our college canteen.
The waste of plastic & aluminium can increases day by
day and causes a lot of environmental pollution. Nowadays, the whole world is moving towards recycling &
saving the nature. Our shredder machine reduces heap amount of pollution and help Colleges free from waste. In order to achieve objective, we made an optimum design of portable shredder machine with necessary calculations and validating the same result using Ansys software package.
11 PROJECT TITLE Design and Fabrication Of Reverted Gear Train (B.TECH PROJECT) SUPERVISOR Dr.V.Selvakumar
This project will be out to explore the practicality of power
trans-‐mission between co-‐axial shafts. Reverted gearbox is widely used in industrial machineries and machine tools to obtain speed reduction, which in turn increases the torque. Reverted gearboxes are used in many applications such as power transmission system and hybrid transmission systems.
In this reverted gear train mechanism power transmission
takes places between two co-‐axial shafts. Reverted gear is a widely used industrial product in mid-‐level precision industry, such as printing lathe, automation assembly, semi-‐conductor equipment and automation system. Planetary gearing could increase torque and reduce load inertia while minimized the speed. The aim of this project is to design and fabricate the reverted gear train. The reverted gear train is designed to be used in lab for conducting experiments.

aims to understand what is lost circulation and the problem caused by lost circulation and to suggest suitable solution for better work in oil and gas fields.
The project summarizes the definition and types of lost circulation, location of lost circulation,
causes, prevention & effects of lost circulation. Moreover, it is about the lost circulation assessment and planning, future for identifying lost circulation, control lost circulation and lost circulation martial. Furthermore, our recommendation concludes the project on how to prevent lost circulation.

This project is titled (Enhancing oil Recovery using well stimulation Technology) is aiming to
understand what is well stimulation and how we can improve the well by using it and study topics related to the well stimulating. Also this section provides background information on the currently available well treatment technologies for increasing the rate of oil flow from the reservoir to the well. It is used for situations where the natural reservoir flow need to perform the three commonly used well stimulation method.
