MANIPULATED IMAGESCHANGES TO IMAGE

I wanted to make my image brighter, more

luminous, crop it and the rotate it so that it was

squint and not straight. I used Photoshop CS5 to

do this and edit my image.

Firstly I went to adjustments and chose

the brightness/contrast option to

change the brightness, dullness and

shadows. I then brightened my image

up more and darkened the shadows so

that the outline of the letters would

make the letters clearer.

To make my photograph more

luminous and to change the colour

theme I used hue/saturation. I

made my image more saturated so

that it would have a glow to it and

then used hue to change the colour

scheme.

Using the cropping tool I then cropped the

picture so it wouldn’t be as cramped and there

wouldn't be as many numbers. As I cropped

this image I ticked the perspective box so I

could rotate my picture. I rotated my photo so

that it would be squint and to make it different

from the original photograph.

the file format from

MANIPULATED IMAGESCHANGES TO IMAGE

I wanted to make my image brighter, change the

colour scheme to oranges and reds, crop it and

the rotate it so that it was straight. I used Adobe

Photoshop 7 to do this and edit my image.

I cropped my image first so there

wasn’t much background in it and

it was only the car you could focus

on. While cropping it I rotated it to

make the wheels and roof parallel

so it would be straight.

1 To give my image a washed

away look I used the smudge

tool so that it would give off a

nice effect.

2

I then used the curve tool to

make the shadows in the

image a lot darker and give

the image more dominance.

3

And finally I went to greyscale and

used this effect to change my colour

scheme. I chose the

“blue, red, yellow” choice so that it

would mostly be red and yellow in

the photo and I knew this would

make my image very fiery and eye

catching.

MANIPULATED IMAGESCHANGES TO IMAGE

Using Adobe Photoshop 7 I edited my photograph of a

mushroom. I wanted my photo to be cropped so that all the

unnecessary parts of the object disappeared and I also wanted

to straighten it. I then wanted it to be brighter and I wanted to

make the shadows darker so the image would stand out more.

1 I firstly cropped my image

taking a lot of the green grass

out of it so there would be more

focus on the mushroom.

2

I then clicked on the image option

and chose adjustments then chose

brightness/contrast and I made the

image brighter and heightened the

contrast as well.

3

I then clicked on

perspective to then

straighten the image so it

was diagonal on the

screen.

4 Finally I then saved my image

but I changed the file format to

TIF instead of keeping it as

JPEG.

HOW TO CHECK IMAGE

QUALITY

First of all enlarge the image to as big as it will on your computer screen.

Look closely at the main focus on the image and check to see if all of its detail is in focus and not fuzzy, and make sure the outlines of the objects are straight if they are supposed to be and it is a solid line.

Make sure the image is straight and not out of place and not squint.

Check that the colours are the way you want them to be and it is set to the settings you would like and if you tick all of these boxes then your image quality should be perfect!

HEALTH CONSIDERATIONSDisplay Screen Equipment (DSE) also known as Visual

Display Units (VDU):

This issue is caused mostly by computer screens, the symptoms of this issue are temporary eyestrain and headaches, and fatigue/stress. The DSE is mainly used by people who work in with computers, there fore every employee working with a computer should be given a computer to suite there needs to stop these effects from happening.

The worker should be given regular breaks away from the computer screen, but not breaks to have a coffee or to have a chat, just a short break away from the screen to allow them to rest their eyes from the screen to stop this from happening. The staff could make phone calls, run errands or other work related jobs to just keep them away from the computer and let their mind concentrate on other things.

LEGAL AND ETHICAL

CONSIDERATIONS

Copyright, trademarks, patents, industrial design rights and trade secrets are all included in Intellectual Property Rights.

This right is based around inventors and authors so that their original design and idea is not copied by other people and they have a right that it is their own and no one else's.

People say it gives “absolute protection” so that absolutely no one can copy their designs and writing, and all if not most inventors and authors will use this right so they receive the full greatness of knowing its their own.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The Obscenity Act is where you cannot publish obscene pictures of anyone or anything, such as publishing a book with naked photographs, putting inappropriate photos of yourself or someone onto a social networking site, or a blog etc.

This act is also to stop people swearing, cursing, lewdness, blasphemy and excessive drinking.

This has also made pornography illegal to things like “exposure for sale” and “obscene books and prints”.

LEGAL AND ETHICAL

CONSIDERATIONSOBSCENITY

This is all about privacy, such as going to the doctors or telling a therapist things, when you tell them confidential (private) things, they are not allowed to tell anyone unless it could harm yourself or others around you.

“Confidentiality is a set of rules or a promise that limits access or places restrictions on certain types of information.”

LEGAL AND ETHICAL

CONSIDERATIONSCONFIDENTIALITY

The laws have now changed so that you cannot take any images of minors without parental consent. This is because of paedophiles and perverts.

It used to be that when you went to your Childs school play that you could photograph and film the performances but nowadays this is not allowed and the teacher has to receive a signed consent form from each Childs guardians saying that they are allowing other people to photograph or film their children.
