er Senior Living. Smarter.Celebrating the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for Terrace Place at Vincentian

Terrace Place is now open! The active 55+ community on the former site of Vincentian Regency features 91 modernly designed apartment homes, all with patios or balconies. Expansive common areas adorn Terrace Place, with ample space both indoors and outdoors for residents to relax, socialize and enjoy all that life has to offer.

Residents, some of whom are pictured at right, enjoy the use of K4Connect, a full suite of smart technology, to control the lighting and temperature in their apartments, stay connected with

To understand the landscape of the senior care industry, think of a pyramid. For many decades, the top of that pyramid, the smallest part, was independent living. The middle of the pyramid was personal care and assisted living. The base of the pyramid and the largest section was long-term care.

Vincentian is working to flip that pyramid, so that the top, the smallest part, becomes long-term care. The middle remains personal care and the base – the largest part – becomes independent living. The addition of Schenley Gardens and theopening of Terrace Place represent important steps in this transition.

We’re moving toward this model for many reasons, but, most importantly, because it meets a market demand. Seniors want to stay independent and age in place if possible. We want to help them do it, while also ensuring that long-term care residents who rely on Vincentian’s more than $8 million of benevolent care per year continue to have access to quality, compassionate faith-based care.

By designing experiences, harnessing technology for innovative solutions and investing in our communitiesand people, we can do just that.

God Bless,

President & CEO

And, a multi-generational living program in collaboration with La Roche University – the first of its kind in western PA – will expand social and educational opportunities by inviting undergraduates to become “students in residence.” The first students have already moved in and are looking forward to becoming an important part of the Terrace Place community.
