4 Corrosion Technology Week 2017 Final Program

NACE Corrosion Technology Week 2017

Dear Fellow NACE Members and Friends:

On behalf of the NACE Technical Coordination Committee (TCC) it is my pleasure to welcome you to NACE International’s Corrosion Technology Week 2017! This year CTW will be in the Midwest in the beautiful city of Indianapolis, Indiana. A unique city filled with history and sports landmarks, from the legendary Indianapolis 500, to the home of sports teams like the Pacers and the Colts. Indianapolis is a vibrant city with many museums, sports venues, great dining, and shopping. CTW 2017 will be hosted at the JW Marriott at 10 S West St, the premiere luxury hotel in downtown Indianapolis. The hotel is a short walk to dining, shopping, and the old town with its unique and original cobblestone streets.

The vast benefits of attending NACE’s CTW includes over 150 technical committee meetings to develop standards and committee reports, exchange technical information, interface with other industry organizations such as API, ASTM, IEEE, ISO, SSPC, and others, present forums on hot topics and current events, and in addition there will be several exhibitors that will offer plenty of networking opportunities, and more. If you’re a first-time attendee, visit NACE’s Committees Web page to join a technical committee and take advantage of the resources that they offer committee members at nace.org/jointcc.

This year, we welcome our first keynote speaker, Laura E. Hitchcock of The Boeing Company. She brings more than 45 years’ experience in standards development and policy. Hitchcock will share with us how standards bring value to the industry and how the industry and technical societies interact to serve a common goal.

NACE is a volunteer organization and we appreciate and value the contributions of your time and participation in technical standards development. A special acknowledgement goes to our sponsors and exhibitors who help to make this event possible. Please take the time to meet with them at the Opening Reception on Monday as well as at the Exhibitor Reception on Tuesday where they will be showcasing their products and services.

We look forward to seeing you in the beautiful city of Indianapolis to network with your colleagues, relax in the Midwest fall weather and enjoy good old Hoosier hospitality!

Sensor Networks, Inc.Booth #112Sensor Networks Inc. is a technology company based in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania which designs and manufactures wired or wireless ultrasonic-based (UT) sensors which can be permanently or temporarily attached to assets and infrastructure. These sensors are used to monitor the remaining wall thickness of known areas of internal corrosion/erosion or to evaluate potentially problematic areas. Prior to this technology, asset owners relied on manual, infrequent data in order to make critical

decisions around asset integrity and maintenance planning. Today, UT sensors are being installed not only in critical locations but also in areas which are safety or economically undesirable to collect data or even manually inspect such as buried, scaffolded, or insulated lines. Access to high quality and timely data is allowing monitoring and trending like never before which is giving asset owners the ability to graduate from an infrequent time-based to a more predictive-based maintenance schedule.Contact: Steve Strachan, E-mail: [email protected], Phone: 281-723-3178, Web site: www.sensornetworksinc.com
