I think the Holland Code SER fits me very well. I

love to work with people and help others. I am also very athletic and love to be outdoors.

My first choice for a career is an Elementary school teacher, which matches my Holland

Code exactly. Working with others, helping and teaching them is Social.

Being a teacher also means being a leader

and organizing goals for kids which is Enterprising.

My second choice for a career is a Personal Trainer which is also very close to my Holland Code. Personal trainers work

with others teaching them and help them to reach there personal goals. Which is both social and enterprising. They are also extremely athletic and like working hands-on

which is Realistic.

I really enjoyed my shadowing experience. I thought it was a lot of fun and I still really want to pursue this career. While shadowing Barbara Levens she kept me very busy. I helped her organize her classroom and get ready for the day activities. I also helped her with the kids and even taught them some sign language. Things got a little crazy sometimes but I still thought it was a really great experience. She told me it was very hard to get a job in teaching these days and that I should take every opportunity I can to receive more experience to put on my resume. She also told me I should get a dual major in order to look more well rounded in an interview.
