Ann included small group and pair work in her daily lessons, providing student with opportunities toengage with the content through reading, writing, listening, presenting and viewing. Sheincorporated varied methods and materials to enrich learning experiences. Ann providedopportunities for differentiation, especially in the use of projects and writing in which students couldchoose from a variety of approaches. Ann successfully accommodated student questions andinterests into lessons, and continually reflected to adjust her lessons to better meet student needs.

Comments:

Ann has a warm and approachable demeanor with students, and developed trusting relationshipswith many of her students. Though she struggled to consistently maintain standards of behavior,Ann exhibited initiative and thoughtfulness in approaching concerns in classroom management.Ann's expectations for student behavior and skills in classroom management increased greatlyduring her student teaching, and she will certainly continue to grow in this area.

Ann is a caring and reflective teacher, who demonstrated commitment to developing her skills andknowledge as a teacher. Ann reflects continually on her teaching, and seeks constructive criticism toimprove her lessons. She built collaborative and professional relationships with her mentor teacherand other colleagues at the school; she enjoyed opportunities to observe other teachers and shareideas. Ann was responsible in meeting the demands of student teaching and course work. Ann'senjoyment of the content and her students is evident in her teaching.
