MARKET WRAP

Markets end down on global sell-off, Nifty down 13 pts & Sensex down 60 pts.

India April-June quarter GDP came better than expected, up at 8.8% vs. 8.6%.

Euro markets were down 0.70% despite better economic data, CAC down 1%.

Equity markets ended down in red on global sell-off in equities market. Nifty settled at

5402 touching the low of 5349 and Sensex ended at 17971. India’s GDP came better at

8.8%, up 0.20%. Euro markets were down 1% despite better economic data while Dow

future was down 30 points as double dip recession fear looms on major economies.
