“The beams had previously been covered with blackboard paint and my husband spent months stripping them back, it was a real labour of love. We also changed what was an almost vertical staircase. Since then, we added another extension to create a third bedroom and luxurious bathroom with a roll top bath and walk in shower as the original bathroom was in the living room! We can adjust the lighting to suit our mood, from relaxing in the bath in the evening, to a bright invigorating shower in the morning.”

“We’ve added to the garden over the years and it’s now around 1/3 of an acre. It’s easy to manage and well stocked with different shrubs, flowers and plants. The vegetable plot and fruit trees are very productive and we used to keep chickens too, they were brilliant fun and gave us a great supply of fresh eggs. We use the garden as an outside room where we like to eat breakfast in the sun, party with family and friends or chill out on the swing with a glass of wine whilst watching the wildlife.”
