FINsim is a test tool for EFT systems that

Regardless of how your EFT network is set up, FINsim can

simulate any of the components of the system. You can

readily carry out complete end-to-end transaction testing, by

simulating all card issuer and card scheme interchanges.

FINsim is developed by experts actively working in the field

within the EFT industry, as an all-encompassing test tool for

EFT systems. It covers ATM and POS devices, all variations of

ISO8583, regression testing and stress testing. It tests every

transaction – without exception - that can go in or out of your

switch.

FINsim uses a centralised repository, and treats all test data

as corporate data. Since data is centralised, every user has

access to all devices and test cases set up on the system.

All test devices and cases are instantly shared between staff

in the development and test areas allowing them to work

together very efficiently.

When implementing new or upgraded software, FINsim

accurately tests 100% of all possible transactions and

transaction combinations. Unlike many systems, this is

based on exact business rules, not a copy of old transactions

to replay for testing. It takes a user just minutes to generate

millions of test cases.

The simplicity of FINsim’s menu structures means it is easy

to use. Less qualified people can do fully functional testing,

without having to understand messages at a detailed level.

This is particularly the case when FINsim test scripts are

exported to HP Quality Center where tests can be run and

results viewed with errors managed by the QC Defect Module.

of physical cards from other banks, testing was previously
