From thE Editor’S dESkDear Readers, Let me begin the narrative by quoting Param Pujya Gyanvatsal Swamiji of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, who blessed FSAI through an illuminating session on “positivity in adversity” on the occasion of Teacher’s day (5th Sept, 2020), There he mentioned – “Respect Time and Time will Respect you Equally” The message was crystal clear. “Saved time is utilized opportunity”. Every moment is a priceless gift to humanity from nature. We must and can make use of it to the fullest extent. Look at the 100 meters’ sprint champions. Their performances bear true testimony in this regard. The clocking difference among top three (at time even more) fastest runners is within the fractions of just a second. The latest world records range anything between 9 and 10 seconds only! In own way, we at FSAI shall aim and try to do our best for the timely completion of all preconceived as well as targeted task schedules. We always receive unstinted support and patronage from all stakeholders. Riding on that strength, the administration shall try to ensure release of both the bimonthlies – Newsletter (BUZZ) and the Journal well in time (if not little ahead)! Accordingly, the third edition of the duly rejuvenated Buzz which commenced in May’20 is on your computer. Months of August and Sept, witnessed few very important new mile stones in addition the execution of all regular activities aimed at serving membership community better. Most important among them are:

A highly spiritual and intellectual Sojourn for FSAI fraternity and other Participants through an ever cherishing discourse by Satguru Gyanvatsal Swamiji as mentioned in the beginning.

Signing of a historical MOU between FSAI and FIA (Fire Industry Association), UK. Participation by our National president in a virtual interactive session convened by mr. Nitin gadkariji,

Hon. Union Minister for Road Transport/ Highways, Shipping and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME). This was organized by FICCI. The topic for Discussion was “Future of Private Security Industry - Atmanirbhar Bharat: Boosting MSME’s”.

Opening of a new FSAI Student Chapter and installation of Officer Bearers at Dr. C.V. Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar.

Installation of Newly elected Office Bearers at Goa & Kerala Chapters. Execution of a National level “Essay/ Poem/ Story writing Contest at the behest of our Chandigarh Sub-chapter in the

Northern region. Conducting the FSAI sponsored Award distribution ceremony and felicitation function to inspire all registered “Ganesh

Festival Mandals of Mumbai”.Sit back, relax and relish the BUZZ Menu.

This signoff proceeding was complemented through a special WEBINAR presentation executed by ms. tracy kirk from FIA. ms. tracy took up a model topic of “true multi- Sensors” which is a CPD accredited FIA initiative dealing with many nuances on “New and Advanced” levels pertaining to Fire & Smoke detection system.

This interactive Session was held at the aegis of FICCI. During the proceedings, mr. Suresh menon, our National President, highlighted the key role played by our members, including MSME’s manufacturers and dealers of Fire Safety products, whose products are deployed to protect and save lives. He also raised one genuine appeal to the ministry to consider granting of a total relief of GST on such items. This waiver will make the products more competitive and in turn spurn the growth of Fire, Life Safety and Security product sector. Besides it will also encourage the end beneficiaries to purchase more of such items for own safety and security and put them into productive use when situation warrants.
