The Personnel Committee is pleased to announce that Tammy Gladson will be our Interim Minister of Music.
She began her duties with us on May 10th. Tammy is no stranger to music, having majored in Music educa-
tion in college and no stranger to serving at FBCP, having served as our interim Minister of Music from 2007-
2009. We welcome her enthusiasm, her team spirit and her desire to help us worship God through music.
Pastor Courtney Krueger credits her with taking him through “Associate Pastor School” as he developed a
strong working relationship with her during the time he was also preparing for a new staff model. He is
enthusiastic about serving with her again. As you will see in her letter, she is asking for prayers, patience, and
participation from all of us. May her ministry with us enable all of us to sing God’s praise and do God’s will.
Welcome, Tammy!
Dear Church Family,
First of all, I’d like to let you know how much I appreciate your overwhelming response to the duet Caitlynn
and I sang Sunday, and how much joy it brought us to share that holy experience with you, our church family.
The Holy Spirit was surely moving in this place!
As we enter this time of transition, I want to also share with you how excited I am by the opportunity we have
as a church family to discover and discern God’s will for worship at First Baptist Pendleton, and to create a
style of worship all our own. It would “delight” me to see a time in the near future where we no longer refer
to elements of our worship as “contemporary” or “traditional”, but rather where we embrace varied and
diverse means of worshiping Our Lord as a unified body of Christ. I pray for this unceasingly and invite you
to do the same. In the next few months, you will probably see that we will be trying various things or doing
things a bit differently than may have previously been done. Some of these may succeed in enhancing our
worship experience, and some of them may fail. Please be patient and prayerful, and ultimately, God will
make his will known.
I also would like to take this opportunity to personally extend an invitation to any of you that have ever
thought about singing in the choir or assisting in our praise and worship group to join us on Wednesday nights
at 7:30 p.m. in the choir room. Come give it a try and see what God has in store for you and FBCP. Just
think! . . . You could be an integral part of the revelation of God’s plan for this church! Never know until you
try…
With Much Love and Thanksgiving for you all,
Tammy Gladson

Wayne and Cheryl Patterson are sharing with the kids (grades 1– 6) about Hands on Mission projects in the community. The kids learned about handicap ramps that teams from our church build for people in our community. The kids even got to build their own miniature ramp!
Senior Fellowship is “Sweet Sixteen” this month. This ministry has been enjoyed by members of our
community since 1999, and we’re still going strong!
Hi-Liners from the Jo Brown Senior Center in Anderson came to teach our seniors how to line dance.
