Save the date! Vacation Bible School is only four-and-a-half short

through His Word and keeps His promises. Because the victory is won, every day is a day to
celebrate!
If you are interested in helping with VBS in any way, including with decorations, please
contact Tali Martin or Robin Orner, VBS Co-Directors, or call the church office at 249-

We’re looking forward to another successful and exciting week at VBS. Please join us!

Lilies will be purchased to decorate the nave for Easter. As in the past, dona-
tions of the cost of the flowers will be received in memory or in honor of
loved ones. From these donations, sixty flowers will be purchased. Twenty-
four of them, plus or minus a few, will be given to the homebound. The re-
maining thirty-six will be available to those who want to take their flower with
them. If there are more requests to take flowers than the thirty-eight remain-
ing, the order of sixty will be increased. After the flowers have been pur-
chased, the balance of the money received will go to World Hunger. Those who contribute will have their
names and the names of their loved ones printed in the bulletin.
The cost for lilies is $9.00 each. Order forms are available on the kiosk in the narthex and in the church
office. You may also place an order by calling Robin in the church office at 249-3310 or by emailing her at
[email protected]. Completed order forms, along with payment, should be placed in the
offering plate or dropped off in the church office. Orders must be received by Sunday, April 9. Please

and foursomes will be organized at the course.
Even if you are not able to join us on the 19th, you can still participate. We need donations for the silent auc-
tion. 100% of the proceeds from the silent auction go to DVSCP. Also, hole sponsorships are available for
$35. A sign will be placed on a hole acknowledging your support. You may use your company name and logo
or sponsor a hole “in memory of” or “to honor” loved ones, friends or children. We also need help in doing
various jobs prior to the outing, i.e. making ditty bags and collecting items to put in them, and we need golf
related/themed items for prizes (these items should be new with tags attached).
We had a great time and very successful outings the past nine years and we’re hoping for an even better turn-
out this year, but we need your help. If you have any questions, please call Dave or Elaine at 241-2619. We
hope to see you on May 19.

Dear First Lutheran Church,
Thank you for participating in the Angel Tree
Program. We provided nearly 300 households with
toys/clothes and/or food. Gifts for 559 children were
purchased by the men, women and children who
selected tags from the tree at your location. As myself,
staff and volunteers packed the toys, we commented
on the generosity of the people who purchased the
items. I couldn’t help to imagine the faces of
the children who would receive the gifts. You
have certainly made an impact. Thank you for
working with us to serve others in our
community.
Warmest Regards,
Tinette Ream

Dear Friends at First Lutheran,
Thanks so much for the cards, phone calls, and
prayers after my recent surgery. Thanks to Taylor
Miller for delivering the altar flowers to me and for
running errands for me and to others for offering to
help. It’s a comfort to know the caring spirit in our
church family.
Sincerely,
Bob Baker
