Today
Welcome as we gather today to wait upon God and worship Him.
If you are visitor, we hope you’ll feel at home among us and that you will come back again soon. If you have just moved into the area, we’d love to have you join with us on a regular basis. Please make sure you speak to the minister or one of the stewards and give them your name and address. If you haven’t been to church for a while, we hope that you’ll sense today the very real presence of God that will draw you back again to this place. The greatest need in your whole life is the very thing he’s offering you today. Deep down in your heart you know you need him. Seek him, for he is here! We all long to meet with God in a special way today. He is here to do just that for us. Take a moment in silence just now. Tell him about your burdens you’ve carried in with you today—you know, your greatest need today is to see the Lord himself, to hear his voice, to sense his powerful touch upon your life, to feel his strong arms around you, to understand what he wants you to do. If you need any sort of help today, please do not hesitate to wait and speak to the minister afterwards or contact him at home.
NOW LET US WORSHIP THE KING OF KINGS!

Issued on Wednesday 20 December 2017 GLOBAL REFUGEE CRISIS - The world refugee crisis continues daily despite it falling from our news headlines. The United Nations estimates that 65.6 million people are displaced or living as refugees throughout the world. More than half of refugees are from Syria / Afghanistan / South Sudan – all of whom have suffered years of conflict. Globally, Syrians still represent the largest forcibly displaced population with 12 million (65%) of its population displaced. During winter many refugees and displaced people are left facing greater hardship surviving in the cold temperatures, and are in need of improved shelter, fuel for heating, along with extra blankets and clothes. Pray for all those living as refugees or who are displaced. Pray for their safety and that those in need of humanitarian and / or medical assistance will receive it. Pray for those countries receiving refugees, that they might reflect God’s grace, mercy and love in welcoming those in need. Remember those who are unable to flee or who choose to remain in places of danger and / or severe economic difficulty, who have seen their local community decimated as so many have left. Pray that they will be protected & for humanitarian & medical assistance to reach all those who need it. GLOBAL MISSION WORKERS - Christmas is a time when we look forward to spending time with our families and friends but for the majority of our global mission workers, their family and friends are normally in different places around the world. Whether they are 'back' in the UK or Ireland or ‘overseas’, for all of them this can be a difficult time as they are separated from at least some of those who are close and dear to them. Please remember to pray for all our global mission workers this Christmas, wherever they happen to be, that each will be blessed and encouraged as they celebrate the birth of the One they are seeking to serve. Pray for safe travel for those who are returning overseas soon after Christmas or early in the New Year. ITALY -Porto United football club (an outreach to children and parents run by Sola Grazia congregation in Porto Mantovano) had a special dinner together in a restaurant last week at which they shared Christmas wishes and hopes for the New Year. Give thanks for the boys aged 3 to 13 who come along each week to play football and hear the gospel message. Pray for them as they received their presents and the Gospel of John last Thursday and that they would be challenged to commit their lives to Jesus this Christmas time. BETHLEHEM - Bethlehem Bible College is an inter-denominational college that trains and prepares Christian servant-leaders for ministry in churches and society within an Arab context. It also serves the local community and provides a powerful and much needed Christian witness in the community, as well as training young, Arab Palestinians who want to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with their own people. Give thanks for the ministry and witness of Bethlehem Bible College. Pray for God’s blessing on the staff and students, as they celebrate the birth of Christ in the town where he was born.
