The Koenigsegg Agera RS was first introduced at the Geneva MotorShow in March, 2015.

25 cars will be built in the Agera RS series. 10 of those cars were pre-sold before the first showing and only a handful remain unsold rightnow. We expect those remaining orders to be filled very soon. Four RS’sare complete as I write this. Another six cars are on the production linewith more waiting to start. In fact, with the combination of Agera RSand Regera orders that we have on our books right now, theKoenigsegg factory is booked out for the next two years!

About Build #128

The seventh car to join the production line is chassis #128 and theowner of this car has given us permission to follow his car’s build onthis website, from start to finish! This is going to be an epic build storytaking place over six months or so, with as much detail as I’m allowedto show you.

It’s also an important build because chassis #128 is going to be the firstRS build that’s fully homologated and road-legal for the UnitedStates of America.

The USA has not been a huge market for Koenigsegg in historical terms– the vast majority of our cars are sold to Europe, the Middle East andAsia – but the USA is a market we are dedicating more time to with therelease of the Agera RS and the forthcoming Regera. Gaining UShomologation is a complex and expensive process that has to be re-done with each new model variant, but it’s one we committed ourselvesto some time ago.

We will introduce you to our #Build128 customer later in the piece and

he’ll share more about the way he’s specified the car and why. EveryKoenigsegg car is hand-made in our factory in Ängelholm and everyKoenigsegg order is just as much a personal process. I’m sure you’llenjoy this one.

About the Agera RS

The Agera RS follows hot on the heels of the groundbreakingKoenigsegg One:1, taking much of what we learned from designing theOne:1 and applying it to the Agera R and Agera S models that precededit. At 1395kg curb weight, the Agera RS is lighter than either the Agera R(1435kg) and Agera S (1415kg). It has more power, up from 1030hp inthe Agera S to an incredible 1160hp on regular fuel. Aerodynamics areimproved, with new sideskirts, front splitter, front winglets, hydraulicride height adjustment, fully active rear wing and and under-body flaps.

The Agera RS has been designed as a road-legal car with a track focus.The acceleration is blistering but as always with Koenigsegg, it’s not justabout straight line speed. The Agera RS will pull up to 1.75G in the

corners thanks to our Triplex suspension, Michelin tyres andaerodynamic upgrades, including a new rear deck spoiler that providesover 450kg of downforce at 250km/h.

Owners get all of this world-beating performance, plus our usual fullcomplement of luxury and convenience appointments. Koenigsegg isstill the only hypercar manufacturer in the world to offer a removableroof as standard equipment on every car we build. All cars have custom-made interiors featuring our client’s choice of materials as well as thefull suite of electronic aides and entertainment options.

Not much has been written about the Agera RS since Geneva and thereare two primary reasons for that. First, we had a summer full of eventswith the Koenigsegg One:1 – our record-setting runs at Suzuka andSpa, our 0-300-0km/h sprint and events at Goodwood, Monterey andwith Castrol. Secondly, all the RSs we’ve built so far have gone tocustomers rather than into a press fleet, which is why you haven’t seenmuch of it in magazines, etc.
