+++ FAQ +++

Capital Campaign Week One Here are some frequently asked questions that people brought to me this week:

Can I still turn in my pledge card ? Yes. We will be collecting parishioners’ commitment cards for the next few weeks, and hope to have a total to present to the diocese by the end of March to get approval to move forward with our project.

When do I start making my payments? April. Many are choosing to make an initial down payment and then fulfill the balance of their one- or three-year pledge with monthly installments. Some have asked, due to unique financial situations, to start making their payments in a few months. Some choose to give their full pledged amount in one payment. All these options are fine. We understand that every house-hold’s circumstances are different and appreciate your commitment to supporting this project in what-ever way works for you!

How do I make my payments? You can use the red envelope designated for the campaign and building fund included in your monthly envelope packet. Or, an option many are choosing is to give automatically via direct deposit, which is easiest for you and us. Those forms can be filled out at the office or can be mailed it to you. “We Share” online giving links for the campaign can be found on the parish website as well.

If I am already using the red envelope does that go toward my pledge? Yes. All donations given through the red envelope or via automatic giving for the building fund will be counted toward your pledge starting in April.

Can I donate stocks or property? Yes. Those arrange-ments can be made with your financial consultant and our parish business manager and/or Fr. Jim Deiters.

God bless you and your generous support of St. Clare Parish! Fr. Jim Deiters

VOCATION CORNER

Father Pat York recalls he considered the priesthood during his eighth grade year. He credits his parents as having the biggest influence on his priestly vocation. They encouraged

their children to be open to God’s call as a priest or religious in the Church. The seed of his vocation took root in his family and grew from there. He would ask his parishioners, “Pray for the priests of our diocese. Support your parish priests. Pray fervently to the Lord for more religious voca-tions.”

Fr. Pat also encourages parents to set an example for their children in practicing their faith, “do not treat it as a burden or obligation, but as a gift that is enriching.”

Thank you to the 40 households that have already pledged to support the mission of the Church to teach, preach, minister and serve in the name of Jesus through their financial support of the CSMA. So far, $12,649.00 has been pledged. Our target goal is $37,850.00.

This annual collection supports the ministries and agencies in our dio-cese whose scope of service could not be duplicated by an individual parish. No gift is too great or too small. If you have not yet responded, please make every effort to do so.
