Revolution in tube processingfischer Hydroforming – customized solutions for complex requirements
fischer Hydroforming
Convincing on a technical and business level
Advantageous in all shapes
Due to continuous further developments
and the variety of advantages, it
increasingly pays off to also
use hydroforming for
smaller unit numbers.
Even the relatively
elaborate production of specifi c tools can
be calculated in a cost-effi cient manner.
Other options for saving costs include the
production of multiple parts in one hydro-
forming tool or standardizing components
and using them in different products.
Do you have an idea for an innovative
component? – We would be pleased
to prepare a calculation for you.
How you can take advantage of the technical and business advantages offered by hydroforming:
Complex, 3-dimensional geometries and cross-sectional and perimeter
enhancement in a few process steps
Costs are reduced through
savings in materials due to the use of thin-walled tubes (reduction in wall
thickness, weight and installation space as compared to cast or bending
parts with same or higher static strength)
the ability to replace several work steps (joining, soldering, welding, milling)
with only one hydroforming component
High degree of measurement and form precision
Extensive repeat accuracy of geometries
Multiple components in one hydroforming tool ensure multiple uses and synergies
Elimination of subsequent operations due to geometry advantages
Standardization of components across entire product range
Competent advice from idea to production – whether as component, assembly or multi-part assembly (ZSB)
The path to your hydroforming component
Our specialists can accompany you from
idea to series production, whether as com-
ponent, assembly or multi-part assembly
(ZSB). We focus on feasibility, quality and
profi tability at each step of the process.
Since we manage the entire development
and production process within fi scher
group, we always maintain full control of
the process. So you can be sure: fi scher
Hydroforming turns the positive results of
a feasibility analysis and FEM simulation
into reality. Exactly as you require, within
a contractually guaranteed timeframe and
budget.

fischer Hydroforming: More performance as part of the international fischer group
From fixed length to complex component
Hydroforming is a future-oriented key tech-
nology for metal working. At the same time,
fischer Hydroforming offers much more
than a growing diversity of hydroforming
shapes at its two locations in Menden and
Chemnitz. Our integration into the globally
active fischer group means that we can
offer a wide spectrum of production and
processing technologies: From stainless
steel tubes made of higher-quality materi-
als such as titanium or special alloys in
various shapes as fixed length or coil using
different processing steps, to extensive
further processing.
Or would you prefer to have your hydro-
forming components produced in South
Africa or Mexico? fischer Hydroforming
provides the entire service spectrum of-
fered by the fischer group with locations
in eight countries and 20 international
subsidiaries (As at: July 2010).

A unique method opens up new opportunities
Multiple shapes
Based on a new processing principle, hydroforming has essentially revolutionized the opportunities for tube shaping, making it possible
to produce an unprecedented variety of shapes. The globally active fi scher group already adopted this tube manipulation trend early on,
fi rmly integrating the method into the company group with fi scher Hydroforming GmbH.
Take advantage of the unique opportunities for multiple designs - whether due to technical or aesthetic requirements.
Hydroforming involves the pressing of
hollow parts into a form tool from the
inside, using high pressure of up to 3,000
bar. This innovative method, whose limits
are far from being reached, is not only
suited to effi ciently combine multiple
mechanical work steps but also opens up
all kinds of new opportunities.
Hydroforming meets new requirements for shaping
Higher design requirements:
Unique aesthetic shapes from one tool
Static requirements:
Light-weight construction paired with
mechanical stability and corrosion
resistance
Functional requirements:
e.g. geometrically optimized surfaces
for better heat exchange
Spatial requirements:
Compact design with complex fl ow
geometries
Demands for material diversity:
Stainless steel, steel, aluminum,
non-ferrous metals (e.g. brass, copper),
nickel-based alloys
“Hydroforming offers the optimum
combination of shape diversity, function
and materials savings in connection with
maximum stability and precision.”
