Escape from the everyday and find rest and relaxation in our Fischerstüberl. Located on the south bank of the lake Osssiach we offer rooms & apartments in the picturesque setting between the Ossiacher Tauern and the Gerlitzen.

Organize your holiday according to your wishes. If you like to enjoy a sports-activity holiday you have the opportunities to play tennis, go hiking or skiing. On hot days you can enjoy your day at our house and family-friendly beach, where you can refresh yourself in the Ossiachersee. In the summertime the water warms up to 28 degrees. Of course, many other activities await you, such as fishing on our own fishing waters 14.6 ha.

Gerlitzen Free ski bus (Gerlitzen - Ossiach) - 2014/15 Take advantage of the free ski bus to the Gerlitzen. The stop “Sun Resort” is situated 200m from our house. Enclosed you will find the bus schedule.

Daily between 8 and 10 o´ clock you enjoy a delicious breakfast in the dining room, when we have good weather you can enjoy it in our garden.

Bread roll service:

For our apartments and holiday apartments we offer a delivery service. Our rolls are baked by us. On reservation we also offer lactose-free bread.

Whether to play tennis, relax while fishing or comfortable on the beach - here you will find many opportunities to spend your holiday to suit your individual needs.

Highlights

Beach:

Our beach is within walking distance (12 minutes walk or drive 3 minutes by car - carpack & WC suburb). The shore is very child friendly with a gently sloping gravel into the wa-ter. Furthermore, the children have enough space to play in the 1100 m2 large meadow. Enjoy many sunny hours.

Fishing at Ossiachersee:

Our pier is the starting point in our 14.6 ha great fishing waters.

• Fishing is free for our guests. • Charges: control board for a week (5 €) • Rowboats on request.

Play tennis on our own tennis courts:

On our 3 clay tennis courts, our guests can play for free. Before you start your holidays we will happily take your reservations.

Schluchtweg:

The Schluchtweg, a popular hiking trail on the Ossiacher Tauern, begins only 100m away from our house and ends on the Tauern pond.

The Schluchtweg is a part of the Alps Adriatic Trails , which is a 690 km long mountain trail from the foot of the Grossglockner in Carinthia to the Adriatic coast of Italy.

With the Kärnten Card you can take over 100 beautiful destinations to complete. Many are free, some with discounts. We will gladly inform you about it.

Treat yourself to one or the other trip - whether on the mountain, the museum, in the Church, to or on the lake, the dwarf Park Gurk or Eagle show on the ruins Landskron - with the Kärnten Card much is possible and an experience.

Holiday Ossiach:

The municipality is situated on the southern shore of Lake Ossiach between the shady side of the Ossiacher Tauern and the south side of Lake Ossiach. Ossiach located about halfway between Villach and the district capital of Feldkirchen.

In 2012, the municipality Ossiach had its 100th anniversery.

Ossiach is located at about 500 m above sea level.

The Ossiachersee with drinking water quality:

It is located at an altitude of 501 m above sea level. The lake is 52 meters deep at its deep-est point, the surface is approximately 10.5 km². It reaches its greatest extent from south-west to northeast with a length of about 10.2 kilometers. At its narrowest point between Ostriach and Ossiach the lake is about 600 meters wide. The lake is nestled between the steep wooded waste the Gerlitz in the north and the western foothills of the Ossiacher Tauern in the south.

The Ossiach:

Originally, the collegiate church was built in the year 1000 as a Romanesque pillared basilica. First mentioned in 1028, it is considered the oldest Benedictine abbey church in Carinthia. Make yourself a picture of our beautiful church.

Carinthian Summer:

The Carinthian Summer is held each year since 1969 music and culture festival with over 10,000 visitors in Ossiach, Villach (since 1972) and more recently other places in Carinthia. Venues include the collegiate church and the Baroque and the Knights’ Hall Ossiach Ab-bey, the Congress Center in Villach.

By car:

From Salzburg or Vienna, take the exit Villach-Ossiachersee, follow the highway B94 direc-tion Feldkirchen and follow the signs to Ossiach.

After the sign Ossiach border for about 700m, turn right at the pedestrian crossing just to the right.
