Start your movement at the Weinstein JCC! fitness New Classes and Programs Built By Body Weight - This 60 min. high intensity interval class requires nothing but your own body to build muscle and burn fat. The class will meet on Thursday mornings at 9:30 am with Fitness Coordinator Jason Ford. Les Mills BodyAttack - This high-energy fitness class combines running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises like push-ups and squats to challenge your limits in a good way! All fitness levels welcome. The class will meet at 10:30 am on Mondays in the Banks Gym with Instructor Jami Town. The Run-A-Latke 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will take place on Sunday, December 6 at the Weinstein JCC. It will be a fun family event with activities for all ages. Personal Training and Massage SpecialsFrom September 10 through 18, we will offer a "Honey of A Deal" personal training special. Buy any 5 one-hour personal training sessions and you'll receive 1 free session. Buy 10 one-hour personal trainingsessions and you'll receive 2 sessions free! Limit 3 packages per member.

And be sure to take advantage of our massage special too! Any package of 10 massages purchased byAugust 31 will receive one free massage. Massage prices go up on September 1 so make sure to buy yoursessions now before the increase. Holidays and Operating Hours for September:

Recreation As the school year begins, so do fall sports. Our sports programs here at theCenter provide some great opportunities for kids to stay active. We've got acouple weeks left of Specialty Camps which are the perfect way to get your kidsready for fall sports. We're looking forward to our cheerleading and flag footballcamps, which will be held August 24-28. If you are interested in registering yourchild for our last week of camp, click here. And, NFL Flag Football for ages 5-11starts with the skill evaluation on August 30. Sign up now! Space is limited inmost divisions.

Fall is a time when people reset their fitness goals and prepare to focus on taking their fitness to the nextlevel. People want to work on feeling healthy and looking their best.Many people choose to get competitive and set a fitness goal towork towards. One trend people are gearing towards is triathlons,and the Weinstein JCC can help you with all aspects of your training!Take your training into our therapeutic salt water lap pool. With not asmany daylight hours, it can be a challenge to find the hours neededto truly exercise. With a flexible pool schedule, there is sure to be atime slot to fit your busy lifestyle! Click here for a great workout (short and long options available) from Stacey Kiefer, a lifetime competitiveswimmer. She is a triathlete who specializes in the sprint distance racing at the elite level. Whether youdecide to utilize this workout for triathlon training, cross training or just part of your regular regimen, wehope to see you on the pool deck soon as you fall into fitness and make a splash this season!

Have a swimmer who wants to improve their stroke? The Weinstein JCC AquaticsDepartment has you covered. New this year, we are offering American Red CrossLearn to Swim Levels 1-6. These swim classes are meant for swimmers who are 6 -12 years old. Swimmers can be of any fitness level. We also offer non-competitive orcompetitive swim team options! Mark your calendar to attend one of our swim teamOpen Houses, either on Wednesday, August 26 at 6:00pm or Sunday, August 30 at 4:00pm. We will go over the schedule and fees as well as conduct a swim evaluation to

determine each participant's swimming level. Lifeguards needed! We are looking to hire early morning lifeguards forour indoor pools. We offer competitive wages and are eager to grow ourlifeguard team. Resumes should be emailed to Aquatics Director KellyJohannsen at [email protected].

Garden Time! If you aren't already, please consider becoming involved with our garden, the Edible Schoolyard! In thecoming year, we will be working on ways to further involve our community in the garden with monthly joblists, volunteer days and different events and gatherings in the garden. Amanda Montgomery, GardenEducation Coordinator, is so excited to work with this group of parents and grandparents and hope youwill consider joining in. The purpose is simple; make the Edible Schoolyard a great place forchildren and families to learn (and get their hands dirty) together. Summer is coming to an end, and we are getting ready for another great schoolyear! It's almost time to send the kids back to class and to get them back into theirregular routines. In all the hustle, be sure to make time in your schedule for takingcare of yourself too! Having fitness as a priority will make you feel better allaround. Come "fall into fitness" at the Weinstein JCC! We have so much happeningthis season. We've recently upgraded several of our machines in the Fitness Center. Ournew treadmills, stair-climber and two additional Life Fitness ellipiticals are allfantastic tools you can use to stay in shape this school year. And they've gotlots of fun extra features too! The Life Fitness ellipiticals and PowerMill areinternet and Bluetooth compatible, and the Cybex treadmills use the softwareCybex-Go which allows members to access live TV, on-demand TV shows,pre-selected web videos, movie trailers, on-demand music videos, VirtualActive and work-out tracking.
