Purpose

1. SABIC Foundation Year Program: Provide English training and academic orientation to prepare high school graduates for success as undergraduates in US universities.

2. IIE/Fulbright Orientation: Provide cultural orientation to incoming Fulbright scholars to prepare them for their placements.




Need

1. SAUDI High School preparation was insufficient.

2. Most Fulbright scholars have never studied in the US and are unfamiliar with customs.




Procedures

1. Details of objectives, classes, services, housing, orientation and activities

2. Details of workshops, meetings, visits, services, housing, orientation and activities




Evaluation

1. Teacher written evaluations, student test scores, student evaluations of teachers, acceptance into college, success as a student

2. Student satisfaction surveys, sponsor visit and review, workshop activity sheets, smooth landing at assignment




Qualifications

Go back to strengths in SWOT and highlight ones relevant to the proposal.




Budget

1. This is a premium program with many extra services to pay for--and priced accordingly.

2. IIE Program is part of a State Department grant and cost sharing is expected. Regulations with government funds also need to be considered.
