ShareFile is built with connectors that allow users to have a single point of access to all data sources including networks drives, OneDrive, SharePoint, as well as personal cloud repositories.

Microsoft Exchange ConnectorIn addition to StorageZone Connectors, ShareFile offers a Connector to Microsoft Exchange. Unique to ShareFile, customers using the ShareFile Exchange Connector can download and share attachments via email using Microsoft Exchange. Users now have the ability to easily access, download, and share those files just as they do with files from other data sources using ShareFile as a single pane of glass.

5. Improve Collaboration using ShareFile and Office 365

Office 365 editing/co-editingShareFile users can improve productivity and collaboration with the ability to co-author Office documents from within ShareFile. The expansion of this service to cover both cloud and the newly added on-premises storage is ideal for strict data compliance, as it limits user access and keeps data secure through file encryption.

This is yet another example of the close partnership between Citrix and Microsoft. Citrix was an inaugural member of the Microsoft Cloud Storage Partner Program and this gives ShareFile the ability to integrate closely with Office Online.

4. Access Data in Virtual Environments

Cloud Connectors in ShareFile Drive Mapper: Extending OneDrive for VDIShareFile Drive Mapper with connectors to Office365 (OneDrive), which improves performance and optimizes file sync and share, for virtual desktop environments. Drive Mapper allows users to connect an account as a mapped drive on the Windows file system, without performing a full sync of account content.

By using Drive Mapper and StorageZone Connectors, ShareFile gives users the ultimate flexibility, providing a single point of access to multiple data repositories, including networks drives, OneDrive, SharePoint, and personal cloud repositories.
