1 Technical Background

You need to meet certain requirements to be able to use the SAPUIFT software component and download the App Activation user interface.

The SAPUIFT component is an add-on component on the SAP Fiori Frontend Server and requires the SAP_UI software component.

The App Activation tile of the SAPUIFT component enables you to activate:

● ICF services of SAPUI5 applicationsReplaces manual activation in transaction SICF.

If you want to launch the App Activation tile from the SAP Fiori Launchpad, make sure the launchpad is set up and configured in your system landscape and the required authorization roles are assigned to your users.

For more information about the SAP Fiori Launchpad, refer to the application help on the SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/nw-uiaddon SAP Fiori Lauchpad .

To direct HTTP requests from the App Activation user interface to the respective server, the SAP Web Dispatcher must be installed and configured in your system landscape.

For more information about the SAP Web Dispatcher, refer to the application help on the SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/nw74 SAP Web Dispatcher .

For more information about the configuration, refer to the application help on the SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/nw-uiaddon SAP Fiori Lauchpad Setting Up the Launchpad Configuring SAP Web Dispatcher .

For more information, refer to the SAPUI5 Developer Guide and the security information.

You need to assign the SAP_FIORITECH_ADMIN role to your user to be able to view the App Activation tile in your Fiori Launchpad.

The following ICF nodes and OData services must be activated:

● /UI2/FT_CONFIG_UI OData service● SAP/OPU/ODATA/UI2/FT_CONFIG_UI_SRV ICF node

Used for the user interface.● SAP/BC/UI2/BOM_UPLOAD ICF node

Used for the upload of the BOM.

You can activate them manually or call transaction STC01 and use the SAP_FIORI_LAUNCHPAD_INIT_SETUP task list for automatic activation.

For more information about these tasks, refer to http://service.sap.com/%7Esapidb/012002523100008986102014E .
