The majority of the population is focused through the center of the country and there are many large cities on the coast of Colombia. The population goes down as you get in the mountain areas of the country and the very low areas.

A mountain range runs through the western part of the country and there is a spot of mountains on the eastern seaboard. Other than those two parts of the country, Colombia is rather flat with a few low areas.
