THE OLD SYSTEM USES AN INEFFICIENT AND EXPENSIVE SYSTEM BASED ON EXPANSION AND REFRIGERATION (NEEDS PROPANE CYCLE, GLYCOL INYECTION).

USUALLY, SOME COMPANIES BUY A VRU TO REMOVE ANULAR GAS AND SOMETIMES TO RECOVER THE GAS GATHERED IN THE STORAGE OIL TANK. THE GAS RECOVERED CAN BE USED BUT IS USUALLY FLARED

GAS MUST BE COMPRESSED FOR TRANSPORTATION OR TO BE TREATED

WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF NGL SYSTEMS, GAS CAN BE SOLD (NEEDS SWEETENING) OR FOR OTHER USES. NONETHELESS, THERE STILL ARE VALUABLE HYDROCARBONS WASTED
