PEA & PUSD Reach Tentative Agreement

December 7, 2015

We have an Agreement!!!!!

Today the district and your bargaining team were able to come to an agreement on

a contract for this year. Here are the specifics:

Salary for 2015-16

A 5% raise retroactive to July 1, 2015.

A retro check for the back pay will come out in January.

Benefits for 2015-16

The district shall increase their contributions to benefits by the following amounts

effective the December 31, 2015 paycheck. (The first with benefit costs for 2016)

Employee only  $672 per month (an increase of $47 per month over current

amounts)

Employee +1  $1,344 per month (an increase of $ 148 per month over current

amounts)

Family  $1,747 per month (an increase of $151 per month over current

amounts)

What does this mean for people?

An employee will pay $74.47 per month out of pocket instead of $121.47 without

the agreement.

An employee +1 will pay $148.94 per month instead of $296.94 without the

agreement.

Families will pay $193.82 out of pocket instead of $344.82 without the agreement.

The district will now be paying 90% of benefits with the employee paying 10% at

all levels.

We could not have gotten this agreement without the support of our members!

Thanks to all who came to the board meeting before Thanksgiving and theencouraging words everyone sent to the team! Please look for dates to vote to

ratify.
